We have a 1 year old and 3 year old. I see there is a child's rate for our 3 year old, but what happens with our 1 year old? Does she need to order from the regular breakfast menu, if available (we are booked at Storytellers and Minnie & Friends), or can she eat a few things from the buffet free of charge?
I had assumed the latter, but I am not sure as I read about someone on the character dining superthread that almost had to pay for her 2 year old because they used a separate plate for the child.:confused3.

We have done the Minnie & Friends breakfast before when both were under 3. We grabbed a small plate of food for each, that they picked at, and we were only charged for 2 adults. So I'm a little confused about the "rules" I guess.

Perhaps the rules vary by restaurant? It's no big deal either way, but I was a little suprised to read that post in the superthread. Was the child expected to eat directly off her parent's plate....or perhaps right off the table?!:)

It's been a few years, but as recently as 2009 we always got our under threes plates of food from the buffet. I think if you ordered off the menu at story teller's you'd have to pay though.

When you get to the dining location, just ask the CM/waiter/waitress :) Then you can have someone to point to in case they try to charge. LOL :rotfl2:

This is exactly what I was thinking too, until I read that post. Perhaps it was an isolated experience.

You will not be charged for your child under 3. We had a child under 3 (she turned 3 our last day in the parks) and she was not charged for anything. We at AG, she ordered from the kids menu at no charge, we ate at BTRBBQ, she ate with the rest of us at no charge. If there is an issue at any buffet speak with the manager. :)

We also had no issue. We did Minnie and Friends with a 2.5 year old. Because she is Celiac, she has to be gluten free. They brought her her own plate of fresh fruit and GF Mickey waffles at no charge.
