Any idea what stores may carry childrens sized rain ponchos? I want to get them for the kids before we leave on 10/15.
I assume Disney sells children size ponchos, but I want ours to be different.
Thanks.

I have seen them at a k-mart. In the camping section. HOWEVER, when DS was really young he did not not like to wear a poncho. The floppy arm stuff drove him nuts. He really liked the child size rain coat we got him. You can find these almost any where.

I just saw some nice ones at our local wallgreens and I know CVS has some as well. They were size 8-10 though so probably not great for the little ones. K Mart had some Disney ponchos for the toddler set, Cinderella and Mickey among them.

I agree with Jordan's mom as my girls would not wear a poncho and still don't like them much. When they were toddler to preschoolers they were very uncomfortable in them.

Try your local wallmart or kmart for a cheap raincoat if you can - we have seen lots with characters lately. They fold almosts as small as a poncho (we kept ours in a ziplock) it is more comfy and your child won't be lost in the sea of Mickey Poncho's.

Family Dollar has them for $5 up front with the umbrellas. I didn't see Disney characters, but they did have Care Bears and a few others.

I agree with sskem69. I bought ours at family dollar and they held up well.

In some parts of the US, it's called dollar general. :)

I found child size pochos at Dicks Sporting Goods. They are 99 cents for child size or adult ponchos.

Not sure how they will hold up, but I bought them with the expectations of trashing them after using them.

Walmart has kid size by their umbrellas which I think you can find by the purses. Not sure how much they were or really what size but did notice they said kid size. I found some adult sizes for .87 in the camping section. It rained on us briefly one day but not too bad. My 12yr old was too cool to wear one so I just threw it over the stroller to protect my little one.

I also got my son's rain poncho at a dollar store (they cost $1 - go figure, and they had 3 colors from which to choose). I bought two in case one didn't hold up, but we only needed one. It kept my 3 year old dry through three September downpours.

FWIW, the ones you can buy at WDW now are CLEAR, rather than yellow, so everyone doesn't look quite as much alike. They're not very expensive, they sell them everywhere at WDW, and if you wait you won't have to buy them if you end up not needing them.

I always buy a bunch of the cheapie ones at Target before we go. I tie knots in the ones I put on the kids to "shirnk" them.

Big Lots, it was 2.99, not disposable type. It doesn't have dimensions on it but I figure it's better than an adult size. They had several colors, I chose red.
