Quick question..Will a 9 and 6 years old need a picture ID when flying? This will be their first time flying and I wanted to know a few boarding ???.. Any different from adults? Txs!!

We called and were told each airport (not airline) make their own rules. Ours (Columbus Ohio) told us to bring birth certs, but we've flown twice with our youngin's and had no need for any documentation.

No. SWA only requires ID for passengers 18 or over.

The only other time there would be a need for a birth cert is if you have a child under 2 who you are not paying for. Most time they dont ask for the birth cert but if the kid looks 2 or older they may indeed ask.

We've flown to WDW on AirTran and SW with the kids (and to the rest of the country on other airlines). We've never had to show any kind of ID for my 4 kiddos.
