My girlfriend and I have a reservation for August at Pop and while kids are great and there will be plenty of them at Disney, we were looking for tips regarding having some mostly Adult time at Disney.

Any tips from other adult only vacationers?

For instance, is there a certain pool at Pop that is less popular with kids--or a time when less kids will be around (I'm guessing maybe at night)?

Any other tips or specific things to do?

I haven't been to Pop, only AS, but forget about the pool being quieter at night-its usually fullest after the parks close!

I can't give any other adult tips cos I'm 40 going on 11 so my vacation is the only time I don't have to be an adult :teeth:

Most of the deluxe resort have separate "active" and "quiet" pools. We've found that the children typically are either very well behaved or avoid the quiet pools there.

DH and I stayed at Pop in Feb and we found the computer pool far quieter than the main pool. However it was 40 degrees that week :)

My best friend and I just had a Moms only vacation at the POP for three days. We remarked on how much our kids would have loved the pools because they were all filled with kids at every moment of the day. When we stay at the Poly, the quiet pool is truly a quiet pool. It is mostly adults and some older children.

My sixth solo trip to POP is next month and there are no "quiet" pools at this resort. The main pool Hippy Dippy when the weather is warm to hot is kid central and the others vary some. POP has a big advantage over the other values 2 bars. Outside is Petals right next to Hippy Dippy but later in the evening I rarely see kids hanging out there. Inside is Classic Concoctions open normally in the evenings and for being right next to the food court is usually adults only. For some reason most people must think the seating near it is for the bar so families tend to stay away.
The best place for this huge resort smashed into a small area is the bridge by the lake. Early mornings sometimes I grab my coffee and sit there for a few minutes of quiet. The same in the late evenings except it would be a cocktail or two and a cigar.
One thing I do a couple evenings each trip is when I am leaving a park I jump on the first resort bus that comes by and go there. If you want to totally get away from kids the bars at BC YC WL AK and CSR are for the most part adults only.

PI is OK but a little overdone in my view. 8Trax is my favorite there but when I stay over RPR at UF I like Cigarz at Citiwalk

I have kids and I hear ya! So, I hope you don't mind my post - We stayed in the 90's section and although it was farther from the main building and food court, we didn't see many kids. We cut through the 70's to get to the buses so the walk wasn't that bad and our quiet pool was "quiet". The main Hippy Dippy Pool was filled to the rim with kids and that is where we and a gazillion other families hung out, so I would highly recommend the 90's for your situation. Hope you don't mind the advice and hope it helps!

My best friend and I just stayed in the 90's too. It was a quiet building and close to the parking lot which was great with the rental car. Not too far of a walk to the main building.
