Childcare during marathon?

Question for all..my husband and I are very interested in doing one of the WDW races. However, we would be going down with the whole family. What do you all do for childcare during these events?

Well, I could go with you and watch them while you run.

I think alot of people bring gramma, grampa, or an aunt along. Or one does the half, and the other the full. Good luck in figuring something out for your family. It is a great time!

We've used the Fairy Godmothers childcare service in the past and they were great. I don't know if they would come out that early, but you could certainly call and find out.

Their number is (407) 969-9847 and toll free 877-611-4314 - the woman who answers the phone is a little grumpy sometimes, but the sitters we've gotten have been great.

I have done 4 WDW and DH has joined me for 3 of them...including 1 Goofy. We normally come w/out the kids. In 2007 we brought DDs and mil to watch them while we ran. The only prob with this was that afterwards MIL was ready to stop watching the girls and I had to take over. This was hard b/c I was TIRED!
So I prob will not bring them during race weekend again....just to hard on me.

We brought Grandpa along last year for the full. Worked well, but they (the grandparents) were exhausted by the time we got back to the room. But could've been that we forgot to get the strollers to them ahead of time I know that Kid's Nite Out provides sitters for the marathon weekend, but they are very pricey. This year, DH and I are coming w/o the kids for a long weekend. My dad is gonna go and have knee surgery in December, so no babysitters to bring along this time.
