Hi!

we have a 2.5 year old who loves Snow White and are planning dinner at artist point. I know children under 3 eat free, but what exactly does that mean here? Will they bring him some food or does he just eat our entrees?

We went to storybook dining before covid, so who knows if it’s the same. They gave my daughter a lot. The appetizer with the carrots or whatever it is. Where they can like dig stuff out and they got her an entree of noodles with butter. They also brought out a dessert for her too. Our waiter was awesome

Do you just tell them right up front your child is under three? That sounds like it was a great experience!

I think they knew? We had her age in my Disney experience.
Yes! It was an awesome experience. We are going back there when we go in april. She won’t be free anymore though unfortunately 😂

It’s best to just ask. Things change all the time. A simple my child is 2, how does it work for kids under 3? Or some form. It’s the servers job and they can tell you what kids get or if they need to share their parents plate or you might need to order. I know it can feel awkward but don’t worry. Your server would rather tell you up front than deal w unhappy guests at the end.

have a great trip!

Places like this, I think it depends on your server. You shouldn't ever assume that your under 3 child will get their own meals unless you are paying for it. In WDW right before covid, my youngest was under 3 when we went. At Artist Pointe Story Book Dining, he received a full meal just like his older 6 year old brother. However, at CRT when we went that same week our server told us that he would have to eat off our plates unless we wanted to pay full price for a second kid. We ended up having him share our food and his older brothers food. However, other tables sitting nearby us with under 3 kids got full meals without paying. I could overhear their server explaining this would be the case for them. Not sure why it varies so much, especially within one establishment---but just know to never expect getting anything for free. If you do---then consider it some pixie dust magic.

I just had a $79 fee show up on my credit card statement. I know I had to give the cast member my card to make the reservation. Does this drop off at some point? It’s actually posted, so no longer pending.

That’s weird. I never had that happen

That seems odd, the only ADR I know of right now that requires a pre-payment is CRT. I'd check your email for any confirmations that included a charge. Somewhere there is an email address for billing issues....I'll try to find it.
