Child ticket vs adult

I'm buying my tickets through AAA. I'm getting 5 day park to park tickets and we will most likely upgrade to seasonal passes during our visit. We're considering going in either May or October. The problem is my daughter turns 10 in June so if I buy a child ticket, can I upgrade it to an adult ticket if we don't go until October? Or should I just pay the extra $10 and order all adult tickets? Does it make a difference when upgrading to annual passes?
