If I have an unused childs ticket not assigned to any name, am I able to pay the difference to change it to an adult ticket?

Yes, but the difference might be more than you expect. Since it's unused, they'll credit you for the price originally paid for the ticket, not the current gate price.

Here is the allears.net ticket history page which shows ticket prices by year. Since most years there were price increases, there will mostly be 2 ticket prices listed per year (before & after increase). Multiply the figure x 1.065 to get the ticket price including 6.5% tax.

here's where I'm a little uncertain...it's a 10 day no expiration childs pass....they no longer offer 10 day no expiration

That could very well prove impossible. There have not yet been reports of anyone upgrading a no-expiration ticket. When are you planning to visit?

I was going to try to upgrade my NE tickets this weekend, but I'm leaning towards an annual pass for the next few trips.

December.... It is a completely unused ticket, so no days missing, not linked to anyone. My wife and I each have 1 day left on our 10 day NE tickets, my daughter has 9 days on hers, and we had bought one more child one for our son who is only 1 currently. That is the one I am thinking about trying to upgrade to an adult for my wife or myself.....Otherwise we are going to have to go with DVC AP

Depending on the results of other people trying to upgrade:

I'd honestly go the DVC AP route.

Hold on to the 10 day, child pass. Next time you need a pass for your daughter (or son, if awhile from now), USE it, then price bridge it to an upgrade for that child for an AP (or whatever else you need).

Thats MHO. YMMV.

That's not going to work. The 10-day NE ticket costs more than any of the AP options.

Instead, save the ticket and let the son use it when he's old enough. Or try to upgrade it and let us know what they say.

They won't do an even exchange for a PAP?

I mean, yes...I know..the "value" of that PAP, by it's nature and the fact it has expiration, might not be equivalent. It would depend on your plans for the year, etc, and if you were going to spend more than 10 park days "in world" over that time frame.

If not, I agree...save and use normally on one of the kids.

Please post your experience with upgrading NE tickets from child to adult. TIA!!!
