Can someone please explain how this works?
Can you do it on all rides, or just some of them?
DH and I will be traveling with our 21 month old and may want to do a few rides that he's not old enough for yet.

Thank you!!!

Say you have two parents and one very small child (such as a baby) but you both want to ride. Instead of him queuing while you hold bub, then her queuing while you hold bub (which could take hours some days on some rides) you queue together, tell attendant at front of queue you are doing a "child swap". One gets on, and the other waits at front of queue. When ride ends parents one gets off, takes bub, parent 2 gets on and takes ride.

OR say you have 2 kids - 1 old enough to ride (but not alone) and one not. Same as above, except that parent 1 rides with elder kid, while parent 2 waits with younger kid. Then, at end of ride, elder kid stays on and parent 2 joins them. So, child gets 2 rides and mum and dad both get a ride with their child.

Of course, if there's no queue, or only a little one, it's probably easier for you to just take turns! (Except on a ride like Indiana Jones where the entrance to the ride is actualy hundreds of metres from the actual ride - the rest is a very loooong underground queuing system).

How child swap works depends on the attraction. Your best bet it to talk to the FIRST CM you see at the attraction that you want to do child swap, they will instruct you on what to do next.

This will work for any attraction that has a height requirement.

We used it all the time in Orlando last year, it works really well, most of the time we didn't even queue together, one of was sent up the exit to a room where we had to wait, once the other had queued and gone on the ride, you just swapped places and went straight on, this works well when the queue is relatively small (no more than a 20 minute wait), I can't imagine sitting in a room for an hour with a bored toddler!

Anyone know if Magic Mountain does child swap? I really want to go as we don't have coasters that come close to the ones here over in the UK but it might be a nightmare with no child swap as I have heard the lines are pretty long? (also plan to buy one of their fast passes)

Thank you for your quick answers! That really helps a bunch!
