Child swap variation?

Hi all, departing tomorrow for the World... We have read a bunch about (but not used before) the "child swap" where parents can hand off a child to the other parent at rides like Space Mountain, etc where the kids may not be able (or ready) to ride... But allowing both adults to ride. Has anyone seen or know if they'll allow a slightly different variant wherein my pregnant wife goes through the lines with me and our two boys, then after I ride with DS #1, I ride again with DS #2? She would not ride at all. I guess my thinking is that in fairness, the 4 of us will have waited in line, and we'll only be using 4 "seats."

Obviously, on FASTPASS rides we'll just get 4 passes, and I'll run through the line twice. (But even that is time consuming as some FASTPASS outlets still leave some queing ahead...)

Thoughts?

And yes, I was hesitant to post this question because I couldn't initially phrase the issue without using the term "wife swapping." :rolleyes1

I am sure that if you ask the CM nice they can accomodate you but you shouldn't need to do any swaping as most rides should allow for 3 people on the ride, in fact I can't think of any that it is just 2. Buzz Light Year or Speedway but your wife could do those while pregnant.

In Everest, Rockin Rollercoaster, Splash Mountain and some of the others that are 2 by 2, you could put the kids together and ride in front or behind them. Space Mountain is single riders so you will all be in the same ship but single file.

Ed, thanks for the idea...

Have a great time, we went when my wife was expecting our first child and it was a termendous way to celebrate...don't buy too much Disney baby stuff.

Yes you can do that. I would assume you have to b/c one or both of the children is under 7.

Children under 7 cannot ride in a row by themselves even if a parent is sitting behind them. They must be accompanied by an adult in the same row. (Space Mountain it would be same space ship).

Since your wife is not able to physically ride--you are doing nothing wrong by getting the fast passes or baby swap passes (we usually "save" the extra ticket for other FP if it works out that way) and then riding twice.

If either of your children is over age 7, then it is a non issue since they can ride by themselves and then you would just ride with the other one. If both are over 7 they can ride together.
