If you get a child swap pass, does the second part of your group need to use it immediately? Is it good for that entire day or is there a time stamp on it that you need to use it by? Also is it still a paper pass or do they put it on your magic band? TIA!

The ones we got in Sept all had expiration dates printed on them, usually the end of the week/month (we were there the last week of the month). So they don't need to be used even the same day that you get them.

We were there Oct 23-24. The paper FP when child swapping we got were good until Oct 31.

Another interesting thing to me. We used Child Swap with FP and there was really a loophole to get even an extra ride. FP+ for whole family (me, DW, DD11, DD4, and DD2). DW would go with the older girls all using FP+ and we would get paper ticket. Going back, me with DD11 and DD4, using paper FP...my magicband never got scanned. I STILL had a FP+ on each ride to go by myself if I wanted to.

Interesting possible loophole imo.

It's not a loophole, it's how it's intended to work. You don't need a fp+ for the second set or riders. If you had to have a fp+, there'd be no reason to give you a rider switch pass. It does give people the opportunity to ride more than once and that's a great perk- let's both parents ride with the children riding and it prevents people from having to ride by themselves.

We usually get fp+'s for the entire group for particular rides that we might want to re-ride later. Otherwise, only fp+'s for the first set of riders on rides we'll use the pass on.

Yes, I believe that the child swap can be used by 3 people (if I am remembering correctly). We like this because my older son will be able to ride twice (once with each of us). Thanks for the info. We are going to try to maximize our time, so whoever has the little ones will probably go and do something else while we are taking our turns riding, so it might not be totally convenient to immediately have the 2nd person ride.

The passes are good for 3 people to return and ride at any time through the end of the month. We returned home last night after a 10 day trip and probably used about 25-30 of these. We used them repeatedly on Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Space Moutnain...we didn't try to ask for them for Mine Train. We also used them for Everest while visiting Animal Kingdom. We even had a few extras we gave to other families as we left the park to head home yesterday. Another good tip is if you have a little one who wants to play in the interactive standby queue of Dumbo, but not ride...they give you a Fastpass to return and ride at a later time. This is great to be used for the siblings who do want to ride should you have a toddler. We had about 5-6 of these at one point.

You can get a Rider Swap pass for Mine Train, we did it in Sept with no problems. The passes are available for all rides that have a height restriction.

Good to know about the pass for Dumbo. It was only a 5-10 minute wait when we rode it (right before MNSSHP) so we didn't stop at the play area.

Does anyone know, if we get a swap on Nov 30th, will the expiration date be Nov 30th? I was thinking we'd hold on to it and use it on our 2nd MK day so we can keep moving to make an ADR if it'll not expire that day.
TIA
