Child Swap Help

Now that the new MPLL has been rolled out for several weeks could someone explain what happens when your first riders scan their MPLL? You are supposed to be able to reserve another ride as soon as you scan in, but what happens to the rider that is waiting with the toddler? They haven't scanned in. How does effect them? We are grouped together with our passes. We are not each buying individually. I'm sorry but this is becoming so confusing to me because I have never been there when the Genie+ system was in play. This is all completely new to me.

What we used to was just book the next ride after the entire group had ridden the ride. Or book the next ride after the first group was eligible and find an overlapping time for the people from group B after they tagged in.

This could be a problem if the parks are busy and so many people are already talking about how hard it is right now to get Tier 1 rides. You would think Disney would have considered this and maybe they have.

Unfortunately we also always have to wait until our entire party rides. We tend to now skip rides like ROTR which would eat up almost 2 hours and prefer the fast loading rides.

Towards park close we end up splitting so dad and younger kids can line up for MMRR (usually has lower waits at close) and teen and I can go to TOT standby.

Sometimes I let DH and our teen go hit early mornings for FOP and the rest of our party only goes after lunch (need help with double stroller diaper bag etc with 2 younger kids).

We are booking a deluxe resort to get the extended evening hours (not nec a benefit for our younger kids when hours will be 11-1 am; but might be if AK has hours 7-9 pm). Poly deluxe suite ended up only slightly more expensive than AOA Nemo suite.

Our next trip we check in 12/21 so we can’t book any after hours/special events.
