I'm a little confused on how this works and want to make sure I understand right. In our "party" there is my husband, 4 y/o son and myself. Our son will probably not be tall enough to ride RNR, EE, MS and some others that my husband and I would like to ride. So would one of us make a FP+ ressie for the ride and get a swap pass, and the other could make a FP+ for another ride? I feel like this would be cheating, since it would be allowing 6 different FP+
Or do we all make the same FP+ for just things our son can do and the "big" rides we go through standby and tell the cm for a swap?

Hope this makes sense, I confuse myself thinking about it.

1. Yes.
2. I can't help you with "feelings." ;)
3. HERE is a GOOD explanation of Rider Swap.

It's not cheating. It's an accommodation Disney intentionally makes to help out families with young children.

I don't think you need to feel guilty for using something intended to allow both you and your husband to ride rides your child can't to its fullest potential. If they wanted to limit it to both parents booking the same FP to get the child swap, they would. They don't so you aren't cheating anything.

We have 4 daughters, one at 46", two at just over 40" and the youngest at just over 38". By using Child Swap, both my husband and I each got to ride with the oldest and one of the twins for all 40" + rides. A couple of times, we did strategically book a couple rides with his FP and then a couple more with mine. The 3 oldest got a few more rides than they would have by using Child Swap and I'm positive Disney is okay with that.

Thanks everyone. I was nervous about breaking up some of our FP+ but glad to know I can use that to our families advantage! :thumbsup2

I can confirm that this week it worked well for us. I had a FP+ for Soarin and DH had one for TT. We were able to do both with no issues.

Thank you so much for asking this question. I have been wondering the same thing...I was kind of feeling like I was cheating the system by doing that, but I think I may go back in and change up one or two my fast pass selections.
