I am arriving in Florida next Friday. I was wondering what the laws there are regarding booster seats.

My children are ages 6 and 4. I got a AAA 2006 tour book and it says that the ages for booster seats are 4 and under. However, I noticed that sometimes AAA state law information is out of date.

If I can save the $9/seat charge, that would be great. We are only driving from MCO to Port Canaveral.

If I were you I would pay the 18 dollars and get your kiddies properly secured. Accidents happen on short and long distance hauls. I am a car seat technician as part of my job and know the ugly side of what happens when kids are in adult seat belts too early. Booster seats happen to be a passion of mine. Just food for thought! :thumbsup2

The Florida law states that child 4 and over can be strapped down in regular seatbelts.

"For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat or a seat belt may be used."

Crazymama,

But it doesn't bother you that kids are not stapped down in the busses.

That's a whole different argument Ed. I am talking about cars here. We have control over what does on IN our cars but not what what other people do to our cars... ie getting drunk out of their minds and t-boning us. All we can do is our best.
