Child restraint question

Hi everyone ,

We are getting a limo from LAX to Ho Jo's and then super shuttle or prime time shuttle back to LAX at the end of our trip .
We have a 3 year old and 5 year old , do we need to book child restraints with these companys due to local laws or anything

If you book any kind of van or car type shuttle you will need child seats. California law is 6 years old or 60 pounds for a car seat.

If you book the Disneyland Express Bus - which is a tour-type bus - you do not need car seats. And there is no way to use them on the bus.

Thanks Bradys mum , is a stretch limo considered to be a car type shuttle ? If it is , we will have to take the bus or rent a car I guess for the transfers .
We were so looking forward to using a stretch Hummer limo

I've actually been in a stretch HumVee limo (a friend's wedding), and the seats face sideways. No carseat is designed to work while facing sideways, so you wouldn't be able to use a carseat in it anyway.

Same goes for most limos, that I've seen, at least.

Now, I doubt if the SuperShuttle, etc, people will balk at you putting your kidlets in wihtout a carseat, but if they are pulled over it's likely YOU that will get the ticket, and if they have an accident*, well, they are wearing seatbelts....

Despite being a huge proper carseat fanatic, I actually choose Grayline's Disneyland Express, b/c I trust coach style buses (practically grew up on a Greyhound since my dad was a river) as long as they are being driven by a proper driver.




*given how they drive...not out of the realm of possibility.

Thanks for your input guys , our limo guy called today and said he would be able to put two car seats in for only $ 20.00 , very happy
