thinking about heading to aquatica in july 09 (long way off i know)not sure what rides ds 8 could do. been to typhoon lagoon and loved it would we be best sticking to it? any info would be great!:confused3

My friend was just back from Aquatica. She has a child in a wheelchair as do I. She helped me reach a decision not to go because it is not fully accessible and would be a waste for kids in a wheelchair.

The slide where you view the dolphins has stairs. Quite a few stairs. The big slide has 6 flights of stairs. STill other slides have stairs which also require you to climb stairs and also carry tubes!

There are no sand wheelchairs. It is very hard pushing a regular wheelchair through the sand. One of the lazy rivers has a current which is difficult for kids who have the ability to use their legs. It would be very hard for a child with little use of their legs.

That leave the wave pool and a lazy river. Prehaps a couple of kiddle slides?

This came from my friend in March. I ask her to let me know if it is doable. With her help I reached the decision not to go and hope that Typhoon Lagoon is open this December....
