Should we eat at chief Mickey's?

We ate there for dinner and the food was terrible but the character interaction was great. I would try it for breakfast though

I'm not sure why Chef Mickey's gets such bad reviews. We went last month and had a great time! The food was good-loved the mashed potatoes!-and the characters where great!!! The kids had a wonderful time making their own sundaes. The desserts were really fun! We had a super time and I won't not go just because a few people didn't like it. Go and see for yourself if you like it or not. Have fun

Absolutely! It is Disney and an experience that should not be missed! This is the verdict from a 40 something Auntie, "more than 40 Grandma" and 5yo.

We had breakfast good food, hot and plenitful. Fantastic character interaction and the atmosphere must be experienced at least once, but many go year after year.

We are going for dinner this time. I'm sure the food will be good, the characters and atmosphere will continue to delight. Also dinner has a special treat we could not get at breakfast: Make your own Sundae bar!!! We'll be there after a hot day at AK so ice cream will definitely be on the menu.

My now 6yo nephew (missing teeth and all now) has a top three list from Disney: Characters, Chef Mickey's and Goofy's Barnstormer. He doesn't know it yet, but he and I are going back at the end of August and he'll get his fill of each. Chef Mickey's was the only character meal we did. This time we have three: H&V Play 'n Dine Lunch, Crystal Palace Lunch and Chef Mickey's Dinner.

On my previous trips we always did Chef Mickey's for dinner. We always enjoyed it!

I couldn't get in for dinner for our 14 night September trip, but was able to get a breakfast.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. Food was hot and plentiful. Lots of nice fresh fruit and the characters were great. We have no kids and still really enjoyed it, but we are kids in adult bodies

You should try it at least once. Some people love it while others do not. Been to CM probably 25+ times. I don't go anymore because it's not what it use to be. Maybe you'll like. The characters are fun, but the food is lacking.

My family and I have been to Chef Mickey's a few times for dinner and we thought it was a good place to eat at. The food was ok but not spectacular, however the character interaction was amazing.

We did Chef Mickey's just this May 08 and we enjoyed it It wasn't my favorite foodwise but the character interaction was wonderful and the upbeat environment was very cool! The biggest thing for the food wasn't the fact that it was buffet but it had looked like both messy adults and kids just ravaged the breakfast bar and things didn't look quite appealing to the palate when you went up to choose. Now, we had buffet at 1900 Park Fare for both breakfast and dinner and they were WONDERFUL with character interaction and the food buffets were DELICIOUS, PLENTIFUL and well, cleaner. But..................I'm glad we did the CHEF MICKEY"S and it wasn't completely unacceptable and I enjoyed the Mickey waffles and the Minnie breakfast pizza but I think the buffet could be a little better kept up with for cleanliness and replenishing. We didn't have this problem at 1900 Park Fare. Still enjoyed the napkin twirl and the characters. They were WONDERFUL with the kids. If you do go, I would definitely do breakfast over dinner. I don't know why Chef Mickey's get such bad reviews. We eat there every trip (we always go in July) and love it. The food is nothing special, just standard dinner buffet stuff, but we love it. The best part is the character interaction. My mother and father (60 & 64) really got into last time. Those kinds of memories are priceless. You should at least try it once.
