Chicks and Roosters...part 2

So how was Kendall's dance, Tricia? Did she dance with any b-o-y-s???

Will is finishing the 6th grade too, and to my knowledge, they've never done anything like a dance. Maybe because our town is over-run with Church of Christ-ers who serve as the town wet blanket. :headache: I have no idea how he would do in that kind of situation! Some of the kids in his class seem to be --or at least they think they are--so socially advanced. They go through girlfriends and boyfriends by the dozen. Gives me the heebie-jeebies! I haven't seen Will doing that, but then again, he's not the most confident kid. He's had a couple of "girlfriends" this year, but he doesn't seem to be the playboy type like some of his friends. I believe they're referred to as pimps. :sad2:

Anyway, I hope she had a great time! :dance3: Pix please!!!

Kendall had a great time at the dance. Yes, she danced a lot with her "boyfriend". All the "boyfriend" means is that he sits with her a lunch. It's quite funny. All the boys on one side of the table and across from them are their "girlfriends". He doesn't call, they basically on see each other at school. Let's keep it that way for a long time.

I think the reason they do a dance at the end of the year here is because next year they change schools and will be going to the Jr. High. They are only there for two years then it's off to High School.

I hope you all are having a great weekend. Hey Wendy, did we ever hear about your Disney trip? Come back and share the good stuff. I'm living through you until I go back next year.

Morning! I hop you are all enjoying your weekend.

I'm glad Kendall enjoyed herself!

This is my last Monday morning post at this hour for the summer. I hope my morning greetings on Thursday will come at least in the 7:00 hour. I remember last summer it took me about two weeks to stop waking up at 5:30.

How was the weekend?

I need to scrample to buy end of the year gifts today. Teachers and the bus driver.

I'm not sure what I'm getting the teachers but I'm doing a Home Depot gift card for our bus driver.

Good morning all!

Tricia, I'm glad Kendall had fun at her dance. I bet she looked so pretty too! :goodvibes

Lori, some of my kids classmates seemed to be socially advanced in elemantary school too. Scary to see! :scared1:

Susan, how are you feeling?

HeEeY!

What's up kids?

So, can I get the brief story on why this thread is part 2 and there's a part 3 thread that no one seems to be posting on?

Susan, bummer abt the arm... but think of how great it would be to slug annoying people in the head with the cast! ;-)

I'm home on medical leave for 4 more weeks. I had some surgery (the ultimate female procedure, IYKWIM) two Fridays ago and I'm recuperating nicely. And already becoming addicted to The View. LOL

Hey Chris! Good to see you! Hope you continue to recover easily.

Good Morning everyone!

As far as the part three goes, I think that's part 3 of our 1st Cheeky Chicks thread when they broke up the long threads. Does that make sense?

It's good to see ya Chris. I'm sorry you had to have surgery but glad to hear you're recovering nicely. Stick around and post now that you're home. :rolleyes1

Hi Susan, how's it going today? Does work seem to be getting easier one handed now?

Honestly, today is a hard one because I had to quit taking my drugs. My surgery is on Wed and apparently they want the drugs out of my system so they can give me more! As for accomplishing daily tasks, that gets easier every day.

Good morning ladies (I think).

I hope the rest of the day goes better than my morning started out. I went to the garage (like I do every morning) to get water and capri sun out the the fridge for the kids lunch. When I opened the door a gallon of milk fell out and busted. Milk all over me, the ground, splashed all over my SUV. So I hosed the garage this morning and I might add that milk in abundance smells.:sad2:

Awwww, that stinks. ( )

It just occured to me that tomorrow might be that last day I ever drive Will to school. (I think I'm going to make him ride the bus next year.) Where has the time gone? :guilty:

Good Morning.

The e-mail that some of you got may have been premature. I'm having second thoughts. I apologize for that and I hope I'm still welcome. Yesterday was a bad day pain wise and emotionally and I jumped the gun on that e-mail. I'm going to behave for now.

I didn't get an email but here's a group hug from all the chicks. I hope today is a better day for you.

:cool1:

Most of the things I do in life are done prematurely without much thought. :sad2: I'll just delete that email from my file and my memory.

Email? What email? :rolleyes1

Oh... now I'm curious.......... Were you going to chop off both arms to rid yourself of the pain in one? ;) ;)

Hi Susan. E-mails are for letting steam off. Better to do it there then here on a public board. :thumbsup2

No, she was just saying how much she wanted to move to Arkansas and become a tour guide at the Bill Clinton Presidential Library. :scared1: Or maybe become a cocktail waitress at the casino. I do hear they make good tips.

Afternoon all

Got in into work late today, so I'm a bit behind today.

Hi Chris! :hippie: How are you!

Muffy, that invisible thing you do freaks me out! I need a green light!!!
