Hello. We went to DL in Nov. We ate at Tomorrowland Terrace. DD12 ordered the chicken nugget kids meal. She usually does fine with fastfood kids meal but this kids meal did not satisfy her-lol! She was still hungry. I think there was only 4 nuggets. She ended up eating my fries -and was still hungry and she isnt a big eater.

She doesnt care for Hamburgers, meats (only BBQ ribs) or sandwiches. She likes chicken nuggets or strips. Where can i find a good adult chicken nugget or chicken strip meal??????

We are hoping to go tomorrow:cool1::cool1::cool1:

oh i guess i might as well ask for future since we now have an Ap:goodvibes Where in Disney Calif can we find good size adult chicken nugget or chicken strip meal?

Thank inadvance

The Stage Door Cafe in DL has chicken strips and a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. :)

Plaza Inn has the best fried chicken, you could split an order with your daughter (it's huge) or I believe you could get a kid's meal I know it's not the same as nuggets, but it is very tasty.

I see that Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD has a chicken strips meal. Also, I used to get chicken strips at Tony Roma's that were really good but I haven't been there in years so I have no idea if they're the same. There's a Tony Roma's on Harbor. So not in DLR but it's right across the street.

In DCA Taste Pilot's Grill has chicken nuggets (according to allears.net). Also, if your DD likes ribs, they have good ribs there also.

Here's the link to the allears menus if you want to look around and see what else is available: http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm#dl

We have this same issue when we go to DL. My dd13 is quite picky and won't eat hamburgers or hotdogs, pizza or any other meat than chicken strips. She is never full on those little kids meals. The strips at the Stagedoor I've heard have been changed to nuggets but I"m not sure so check on that. We end up getting my dd a hot pretzel with cheese sometimes or the strips/nuggets at Stagedoor ( the portion size is bigger than a kids meal).

We also usually get a meal at Whitewater Snacks in the Grand Cal. We love it there and my dd can get a grilled cheese sandwich for a change of pace.

The Golden Corral has a good-sized chicken nugget meal that comes with BBQ sauce.

I concur that the Plaza Inn fried chicken might be a good option.....DH really liked it (and it was a TON of food).

Another option is the citrus chicken at the French Market. It doesn't have breading, but if you cut it into nugget or strip shapes it might work. It is heavily seasoned, much like a nugget would be.

Good luck!

lol! our dd's sound like twins-hehehe. My dd will eat pizza after she takes off the cheese(lactose),She will like the pretzel and cheese-yum! She does like mac n cheese(depending on the cheese -lactose) and loves grilled cheese.

I keep hearing about whitewater Snacks but we want to eat in the park.

we might walk down town disney but not sure. I wrote down theinfo so i'm prepare. I gotta get ready so we can go. Love living 30-45 min away:cool1:

The chicken strips at the Golden Horseshoe were a good size portion when we last got them a year or two ago. You can also get these from the Stagedoor Cafe window if you don't go inside, but you really ought to go and watch the Billies if you're going to sit down and eat anyway. Our family of four ordered one chicken strips with fries and one fish and chips and we shared. It was enough food for us at the time, but we were saving room for dessert.

Jazz Kitchen Express does have a chicken and fries basket. DH and I actually got the one that had popcorn shrimp too, and we split that for an afternoon snack once. It was ok. I think I liked the Golden Horseshoe chicken better.

some of the kids meals in portions are small. so if your kid is going to want to eat more get them the adults size..i think taste pilots grill has chicken strips also..

I avoided going there for quite a while because I thought it would be a long walk from the parks. :confused3 Once I figured how easy it was to get there, we loved it. Are you planning on going to DCA also? Whitewater snacks is literally a 2 min. walk right across from Grizzly River Run, so it's very easy to get there if you're in DCA at the time. It's a nice relaxing atmosphere and the food is great. I just love their chicken nachos!

Right across from Grizzly River Run, there is an entrance to the Grand Californian Hotel. Go through the turnstile there and then keep on walking straight. You'll come to a dead end where you will have to turn either right or left. Turn left and walk a short distance and you will see Whitewater Snacks on your left. (The pool area will be on your right). Save your restaurant receipt when you are done eating so that you can enter DCA again from the same way that you exited. Sometimes they reserve that entrance for hotel guests only, but a receipt from the restaurant will show that you ate there.
Here is the link to the "food porn" thread on this board. There are some photos on the various listings for Whitewater Snacks.

And here is the menu: It was last updated in April, 2010 so I'm not sure if the prices or anything else has changed.

Hope this helps.:)

DH had the chicken strip meal from the Stage Door a couple of weeks ago - 3 breaded strips - each about 6" long and 1.5" wide. Dipping sauce included (ranch, honey mustard, BBQ or Buffalo, I seem to recall) and a fries. :goodvibes

We also enjoy WWS! We tried the beef & chicken nachos for the 1st time this past Nov. *we miss the french dip sandwich.

I searched through that link you posted and found this ~ **~**
Much easier to look through :thumbsup2

My link brings up the same page as yours..... It starts with the listings by month. That's the page that I searched for and put the link up for. Does my link not bring up that page for you? :confused3

I did a search on yelp. I showed dh the pics from white water snacks. He said "WINNER!"
He said the nachos looked GOOD! Then I showed him pics from taste pilot and he said "SCORE!" on the ribs-lol!

he said we are trying both-lol!

Sounds great! You will love them both. They are 2 of our favorite places too. :)
