I have been told that Ohana will get chicken fingers for my picky eater from Kona. Does anyone know if any other TS restaurants that don't have chicken fingers on the kids menu (frankly I'm surprised that ALL kids menus don't offer them!) will make them if requested???

This is such a hard issie - some parents want their kids to have 'normal' choices, some want kid favorites, some want healthy, some want fried, some want.....

It is hard, isn't it? Know that at the buffets there are very kid friendly options. There are so many restaurants, are there any specific ones you have questions on? That might help to get directed reponses

:yay:

I was hoping someone would say they had been able to get them at Le Cellier or anywhere in AK besides the McDonalds. I spent all of our lunch time trekking across the park to retrieve the elusive breaded chicken anything. Liberty tree would be good too since CP is down. We're kind of locked in to 50s Prime Time at DHS too, which isn't the worst thing.

Thanks for any help y'all can offer.. Even though I'm a veteran DISer, I still struggle with this every trip. I'm making a counter service by park reference to put in my iphone to local all breaded chicken anything options so I can minimize my "foraging" for lunch...

Any place that servesa chicken breast can make chicken fingers if you have special needs. I own a resturaunt and our chicken fingers are sliced chicken breast that are breaded and fried. The really issue would be do they have a fryer but you can also bake them. Stop sweating it and call ahead. You can speak to the chef's before you even go down there. There is a number you can call. I do not have it handy but I have called it due to my own allergies to onions. You will be limited at CS places however. Good luck!

Based on info on allears.net....

Yak & Yeti - Chicken Bites (My guess, that's a fancy way of saying nuggets)
Rainforest Cafe
Mama Melrose
50's Prime Time Cafe
Chefs de France (served with noodles but still chicken Strips)
Marrakesh
Tony's Town Square
ESPN Club
Fountain Restaurant at the Dolphin Resort
Narcoosees
Olivia's
Boatwrights
Manginos
Garden Grove
Captain's Grille
Fulton's Crab Shack
Planet Hollywood
Raglan Road
House of Blues
Wolfgang Puck Cafe

So that is quite a selection. Those are the locations that specifically have chicken nuggets on their menu... most surely there are others that keep a box in the freezer for occasions like yours.

Very helpful! Thanks so much...

Just goes to show what you can find, if you look for it. I just went to allears.net... sure it took me a while to open every children's menu at TS restaurants and take a look to see if they offered chicken fingers, but I was curious; since for us it is agravating when I see the same choices at every restaurant for my kids.... so it was kind of a reverse experiment for me! But OP could have easily looked these up as well, since the information is there for anyone to access.

In any event, I am not surprised at the number of places you can get chicken fingers... and luckily for me, my boys dont know how to read yet, so I will simply jump over that option every now and then, when asking them what they want for dinner on our upcoming trip!!!
