"Chicken Exits" - which rides have them?

Going in May, my DH doesn't like coaster-type rides and is afraid of heights, however I'd love to ride some of them and would gladly ride single if I had to.

I seem to recall some "chicken exits" where you can stand in line for most of the ride and exit at the last minute.

I'm thinking we could both stand in the singles line together and if he wants to leave at the last minute he can, that way he won't have to wait for me by himself while I wait in line.

Anyone remember which rides have these or do they all do?

I know Tower of Terror does, because I've used it. I've seen one at the Haunted Mansion. too.

Thank you very much, sounds like all the ones I'm worried about have them - I appreciate the quick answer, you guys are great :)

Any ride with a long queue and "warnings" offer a last-minute exit.

That would include all coasters and "thrill-rides".

(Heck, you can even decide to "chicken-out" on SOARIN' !!)

And, while we're discussing this...
you can ALWAYS exit ANY ride without riding it.
(Even the Fantasyland rides allow this.)

One of the most difficult to "exit with no-ride" would be "its a small world".
If you didn't want to "back-track" through the CROWD in line, you'd need to step into (and then across and out of) the BOAT and keep walking... before the boat proceeded into the attaction.

Everest has one, too. I already used it myself :rotfl:

I wouldn't even classify Soarin' as a mild thrill ride. My family had pumped it so much that I was disappointed in it the first time. It's grown on me a little bit since then, but it's not a must do for me. The only reason someone shouldn't do Soarin' is if they have a fear of even the sensation of flying.

The reason I mentioned it specifically is that the OP was asking about COASTERS.

And coasters are in a totally different category than Soarin'.

Wow! Thanks for asking! We are going with my 5 yo DNephew and he won't ride these rides, but he and Grandma could come through and see the theming with us this way! I never thought of that!

I love walking through the que at Tower of Terror, but I will never go on....so I always take the service elevator. I also like the que for RnR, but will never go that either....so I take the side exit. What can I say.....I'm a chicken.

I guess I'm missing something. Why would your family want to wait in line instead of sitting down somewhere and waiting for you, or doing what they wanted to do while you were doing your ride?

Since they have never seen the theming before, it is fun to look at for the first time (the TOT was very interesting). But once you have seen it once, I can't imagine wanting to go through it again.

For some of the rides, it wouldn't be that interesting to see, but some of them of worth walking through just to look at one time.

You can get out of every single ride at the last moment, if you ask a CM. Obviously some have more convenient exits since they're used more often (ToT etc.) but all of them will let you "escape" without riding.
