Chicago to MCO - recent flying experiences

It's been a couple of years since we've flown with the kids to MCO, and we have a couple more tickets to buy this year with the addition of twins to our family. I'm curious what people have found price-wise flying from the Chicago area (which could include Indianapolis) in recent months. I know that there are a lot of reasons for price variations, but I'm curious if the prices I'm seeing for our December trip are about as good as it will get, or if I should hold out.

Yes, I've looked at kayak but that doesn't include all airlines (or adjust for the fees, which vary from airline to airline) so doesn't tell the whole story.

I'm flying from Indy in November for $89 each way on Southwest.

For our trip this October I found United from Ohare for 165 rt per person. Bags fees would apply but we dont need to check any bags. Doubt I'll ever see that again.

Couple other places to try.

Southwest, Airtran and Midwest (Frontier) from Milwaukee.
Airtran from Moline or Bloomington IL
Allegiant goes from Rockford to Sanford
Alleginat goes from South Bend IN to Sanford

Lowest has been about $168 on Airtran, including taxes, but that has been a rare find in off season. Anytime the fare goes below $200 it is normally a great deal from here.

I just booked $99 each way on Airtran! I'm so stoked! We are leaving one day earlier and still paying less with the one night room only at a value. We are leaving 11/27-12/4, switching to AKL on 11/28.

I thought I was going to have to pay about $177 one way and $99 back on Airtran. Southwest fares were not great either, about $150 down and $133 back! Even with the baggage fees we may pay for one bag (DH's) and paying to choose our seats it's cheaper to go Airtran for us. I really wanted to try Southwest but....

I haven't bought my tickets yet, but I'm going to be flying on Southwest out of Midway in late October. Right now, the fare is $232 round trip, with two free bags.
