Chicago: Swissotel or Amalfi?

I need an answer fast, I have to book a trip today. It will be my DDs first time to Chicago and we'll only be there for two nights - Swissotel for the views, or funky boutique Hotel Amalfi? Price is going to be about the same. Thanks!

I've had friends stay at the Swissotel before and from what little time I spent in there it seemed nice. I don't have any personal experience with the Amalfi, but it definitely seems to be a more unique experience compared to the Swissotel. Probably boils down to what your DD would enjoy more, the view from the Swissotel or the unique hotel experience?

Thanks for the reply...I think I'll go for the Amalfi with nice complimentary breakfast and evening horsey-derves. I myself love views but as our event is actually in Naperville, we probably won't see much daylight in Chicago anyway. Maybe I'm crazy to drive in and out of town. However I can't force myself to stay in the suburbs, I love Chicago
