Chicago Pre-meet Gino's - Fri Jan 17th

You guys are staying in GLENVIEW??? That's not exactly close to the theater or Gino's! The Courtyard in Elmhurst also has a AAA rate of $56, and it's a LOT closer to the action!

Yep It is the same distance even from my house (give or take 5 miles) and I get to avoid going on 80. That alone makes it worth it to me. I know it is about 15-20 miles from the theater but it's not too far from either Ginos. I also know the way to that Courtyard already which is a huge bonus... that and I can easily detour going into downtown on my way to and from w/o backtracking much

To each his own! After years of driving past downtown Chicago on I-94 to visit relatives, I'm very glad to now take I-80 around the city to see the family.

I will give Priceline another shot in a few days - but will stick with the Schaumburg area. And if nothing turns up at a price I want to pay...I still have my reservation at the Wyndham Garden.

well, i cwas crossing my fingers that we could join everyone this time, but we just can't...

hubby has tons of work to do and the checkbook only goes so far!! so i had to sacrifice this meet so that i could go and see beauty and the beast instead!! the broadway production is coming here to indy in a few weeks!!! and plus, we've already committed to a des moines trip in february also (family).

so, i hope you guys have fun...and take lots of pictures!!! think of os, stuck at home...

Sharing a pizza ala veggies with Kim!! YAY!!!

Last time I didn't get any of that pizza. Tony served me a slice that was non-veggie. Just because he doesn't like 'shroooms on his pizza doesn't mean he should punish me.


Oh yeah......My sister Nancy will be joining us at Gino's too!! She's actually spending the night at our house in order to go to see Lion King on Sat.
Have I mentioned before that she's a jazz singer?? Maybe we can get her to sing for us!

OH CRUD Doctor P!! I guess that would be me but, until a FINAL Gino's is decided upon (Rolling Meadows I guess) AND, a time, I think 6:30 would be safe, give &/or take a few minutes, I haven't called yet!! Aww Heck, they handled us OK last time! Could we be worse than last time??? I thought we were pretty well-behaved last time.

After the debacle with Dopeygirl's salad last time, they may not let us back in there (and probably put out a warning for the entire chain!). The good news is that if we get enough people, we can probably take over the ENTIRE balcony area. Can't wait!
