Chicago DVC store location

Hi Everyone -

I know that this question has probably been asked before - But I just found out that dh has a meeting in Chicago the end of October/beginning of November- so I wanted to know where the DVC Chicago store is exactly - & is it possible to go there if I'm adventurous and rent a car?

The DVC "Doorway to Dreams" is actually in Woodfield Mall, located in Schaumburg, IL. If you wanted to rent a car, it's pretty easy to get to, the NW Tollway runs right out that way, or you can take 290 to 53 North and get there.....

thanks everyone for the info - we are already DVC members but could always be interested in a dose of Disney and maybe even an add-on! - BTW, about how long does it take to get there from Chicago (I don't know where we are staying yet so just an approximate time would be OK!

On a good day, with no traffic I can make it to Schaumburg in 45 mins. from downtown. That said, we rarely have good traffic days. There is still a lot of construction going on and sometimes you can zip right through and other times, you sit.

So I would plan on 1-1/2 hrs (from downtown) and be happy if it's less than that.

I've gone twice and ended up with two purchases!!!

Once you get to the mall - it's located on the 2nd floor right next to Nordstrom. GO - it's a great little Disney "fix" - I was just there last week, and walked out with some new brochures, park maps and other "chatzkees" as the on-site guide called them. Just a lot of trinkets, but hey - just the kind of stuff to oogle over and think about DVC and WDW with!! + you can pin trade there, if you're into trading.

The AKV room layouts are nice. Also the people are friendly.

If you can go, you should; they'll give you a hearty "welcome home" and, if they are not busy they'll be happy to chat with you about DVC.

Just a side note, you may want to leave some extra time to explore Woodfield, it's a very nice, very large mall that is a tourist destination unto itself.
