I need to get from Western Springs, Il to McCormick Place-without a car.

I was thinking of taking the train from Western Springs to Union Station. How do I get from Union Station to McCormick Place?

And, how do I get back from McCormick Place to Western Springs train station?

I also need how to get from Union Station to Palmer House. This would be on the morning of July 9.

Then I need to go from Palmer House to McCormick Place. And back from McCormick Place to Palmer House.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can call the RTA 708-836-7000. They will get you anywhere you need to go with public transportation. Also chicagotransit.com

I'm sorry but I don't have any advice regarding bus schedules in Chicago but wanted to say that I grew up in Western Springs. If you get a chance, you have to stop by Kirschbaum's bakery. They are the best! Their cinnamon bread (coated in cinnamon sugar) is to die for!

I assume that you're staying with friends/family since there aren't any hotels in town. Do they have any ideas?

I found this web-site very helpful to use the subway and/or trains when I was in NYC. We researched our routes and printed them out before we left... then we didn't have to read maps when we got to the terminal.

They have a link for Chicago as well. You just enter the starting point and ending point. They even give you walking directions if the stop is a block or so away from your destination.
