Congratulations Cubs. Joe Maddon and all the team did a great job getting it done, 2016 World Series champs.

Congrats to the Cubbies who overcame one of the worst managerial efforts in World Series history. Zobrist, Schwarber, Rizzo, Bryant.. thank you!! You are all Gods who prevented Maddon from ruining this.

Stuff what exactly? I'm a Cubs fan. I just called 4 of our players GODS! Maddon is a horrendous manager who almost ruined everything. The Cubbies won in spite of him and I thank them for that. Wouldn't mind if Theo canned Maddon tomorrow though.

I'm a Mets fan who has always rooted for the Cubs-- one underdog has to pull for another. Cubs fans have heart-- they have to or they would jump ship and root for a team that makes being a fan easier.

Hats off to the Cubs, and to all their loyal fans!!

I'm gonna be dragging today staying up to watch til the end at 1am and then getting up at 6 for work. The Cubs were awesome, frustrating, thrilling, annoying, etc. all in one game. Wow. I have to say I did wonder about Maddon's decision to use their big closer Tuesday night with a huge lead and then pull Hendricks and Lester so quickly last night. At least it all worked out.

Just popping in to say congrats to the Cubs. It was a great series and, while disappointed our Indians couldn't get that last win, our city is so proud of the way they kept fighting back.

Last night was pretty amazing - heck, if it had gone much longer past the 10th, it's very likely we'd be finishing this tonight, since some really heavy storms rolled through right after the game was over.

I think Maddon made some poor decisions last night but he's the best thing, next to Theo, to ever happen to the Cubs.

Congrats to the Cubs and their fans.

I'm taking credit for the victory. I KNOW my visit to Wrigley in August was the intangible deciding factor. That game went into extra innings too, and I left before the end, just like I clocked out last night after the 9th.

I'm anxiously awaiting my invitation to be Guest of Honor at the victory parade.

I turned off the TV right when the rain came. I wasn't sure the game would be finished last night. Flashbacks to 2008 when the Phillies vs Rays had to be postponed mid-game and resumed two nights later.
