geffric, this is WIU's spring break. they get out of school from finals i think on May 10th. if their break was at easter time, wouldn't be much time left before the end of school.

thanks for the info

disneynut............i feel for you. i drove to wdw only 2 times and swore i would never do it again.
have a very safe trip and take lots of kleenix with you. hope you feel better overnight !we drive all the time.. have fun..

did laundry but never made it to the grocery store. me either

i don't have a thing to fix for dinner
me either.. how about going out for dinner??

Well, I didn't wear green today and no, I didn't get pinched!! :rotfl:
Kids have green on...they're Irish!
And I pinched them anyway!! :rotfl:

hmm, maybe i should start a thread on the cb to say i know someone that pinches their kids......:rotfl: :rotfl:

Today DD was watching the Disney Channel (BTW she is sick) and all of a sudden there was a banner going across the botton that said....
"If you don't where green look out or you might get a PINCH!"
OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
I have never heard anything like that before!
Debbie

debbie, you must be about 29 or 30 if you don't know the pinch thing...

if you wear orange, you can't be pinched.

and scots wear orange on st p's day to avoid the pinches.

boy, i must be old.

sorry your dd is sick. hope she feels better "real soon" as mickey would say.....

hey, does anyone here remember the commercials with the Shell answer man?

if that doesn't age me, i don't know what will.

Hey there all. Happy St. Pats Day to all you Irish folks out there. I celebrate Oktoberfest myself.
As for that pinch if you don't wear green on St. Pat's Day, that was around when I was a kid. (Which, according to my son, was in the olden times:lmao: ) Just how old do our children think we are anyway!!!??
Disneynut71 have a great time at WDW. I would love to be going along with you. Hope it's not too crowded while you are there.
Kids had a long birthday party today. Was supposed to be 2 hours so I figured I'd just stay and help the other mom. She has twins so double the fun!! Well, it ran a little longer than expected and we were there 3 hours. I'm pooped!!
Glad I decided to have only 10 for DD party and have something simple here at home this year. This is the first year we've had a put together house since the kids were old enough to want a friend party. Figured I'd do a craft, play some games and eat pizza and cake/ice cream. Any good ideas out there?
Jedi:grouphug: hope you are having a good day today.
DS has his pinewood derby race tomorrow. DD will be at ballet. Looks like I'll have the house to myself.
Well, better make sure both kids have finished their turn in the bath. Early night tonight. Big day tomorrow. Din-laws are in a mystery dinner at church tomorrow. It's Disney themed so we are definately in to watch. DFIL is Aladdin. That should be worth a good laugh!!!
I'll check in before bed.
:wave2:

Disneynut71.. Have a wonderful, magical trip!!!! Drive safely and I hope you feel better!

Macraven...see my ticker...I am going to be 40 soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: I guess I just missed the boat on the pinch thing.

sorry, had to put my glasses on to read the fine print of what happens 2 months from now. since you are still under 40, i guess this means you don't know who the Shell answer man was on the tv commercials either.

i have your backs.

all green lights out now....

Thanks for the kind words about Stephanie's first confession yesterday.:goodvibes

The service they had was very nice, and Stephanie did really well.
They had a "communial" reconciliation, which is where several priests are there and you do your confession in public (away from people so no one can hear what you are saying). I told Stephanie's teacher that Steph was very nervous, so she made sure that Stephanie went to our priest, which was nice, because Stephanie knows him. Kevin and I were chuckling, because she was talking to him for a L O N G time - what was she telling him???? If must have been somewhat amusing, because I saw the priest smiling alot.

Not to much going on today - I have alot to do around the house. Plus Stephanie has to finish writing a book for school tomorrow. She is writing a story about having a sleepover with Cinderella in her castleprincess: It will be a really cute story!!!!

Rose - Good luck with your busy week next week :wizard:

mac - Goodbye to your DS :wave2: I hope he's able to come back home soon.

Jedi - That's true ::yes:: Kevin got pinched at the fire station yesterday from another guys young son for not not wearing green. I laughed when I heard this:lmao: I hope you had fun when you went out last night.

Debbie - That Meet idea sounds like fun - maybe we could set that up sometime after the bowling meet :thumbsup2

HERSEY - Grout scrubing :scared: Good luck with that!!!!! :)

Donna - Stephanie is not making her first communion this year. That will be next year. Our parish likes to break up these two things so the kids can focus more on what they are doing, and not feel to overwhelmed.

Disneynut - HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!! I hope your trip is lots of fun, and please stay safe!!! I also hope you feel better soon - I feel bad that your sick  I will pray for you to feel better soon!!!

geffric - Dentist!!! That's something I have to do!!!! ::yes::

Bunchkin - I'm glad you had a nice lunch with Sam and Megan :goodvibes

Tiggerrnnnn - Good luck to your son with his Pinewood Derby race today :wizard: I'm sure he'll do great!!!!!

To anyone I missed - :wave2:

Well, I gotta go get ready for church
Have a good day today everyone!!!

My hand is like Davey Jones (not the Monkee) from POC. Why did I put in Ceramic tile? :rolleyes1 I wish there was a way to scrub with out getting on my hands and knees. I really think I was put together with someone's old worn out recycled parts.:lmao:

Yesterday was colder than it looked. I'm so ready for warmer weather.

I wish "liitle Bill" would return "big Bill" is killing me.

Yeah we are all freezing around here all the time trying to keep the heating bill down now I fear we will be sweating all summer trying to keep the Com Ed bill down! It really urks the hell out of me!!!!!

Good Sunday to all!!

Some of you were speaking about High School Musical on Ice. I found this in a Mousesavers email I got:

Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour Hits 100 Cities Beginning this September
The cultural sensation "High School Musical" reaches a whole new level of "cool" with Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour. This ice spectacular will premiere in New York City on September 29, 2007.

The ice tour will feature a live fusion of songs, dance and team-spirited fun to celebrate the music of the original Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel movie, and its sequel "High School Musical 2," which is set to debut on the Channel this summer.

The global tour, comprised of three companies, is expected to play more than 100 cities in its first year alone, including the worldwide premiere at Madison Square Garden (on September 29th and 30th) and the Staples Center in Los Angeles (on October 5th) in addition to cities in Europe, Canada and Mexico.

"We'll be recruiting some of the world's most talented skaters to play East High School's own Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad and Taylor," said producer Nicole Feld. "They'll be heating up the ice performing chart-topping tunes and signature choreography, and with the ice as the dance floor, this event will be an unprecedented twist on a fan favorite."

Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour will feature music from the popular "High School Musical" soundtrack, including "We're All in This Together," "Get'cha Head in the Game," "Start of Something New," "Stick to the Status Quo," along with new music from "High School Musical 2."

Tickets for the U.S. tour will go on sale on Monday, April 2, while the European, Canadian and Mexican dates will be released later this spring.
