Hey everyone!

Here's a quiz... You know you're a Disney phreak when?

I took Megan and my niece Makenna to Chuck E Cheese's today. All was going well and they were having a blast, but I knew I was a Disney phreak when I got a bit miffed when they introduced Chuck E Cheese as AMERICA'S FAVORITE MOUSE. I said, out loud, Oh Please!! Have you people never heard of MICKEY??? Hello?? The table next to me bust out laughing and they all had Disney shirts on of one sort or another. I showed them my earrings and watch. I was IN. All we needed was the special handshake and we were on our way to being a full fledged Disney posse!! Our mission was to hang the Chuck Rat by his matted little ears.

We chatted back and forth about Disney trips and I told them about the DIS. They said they'd stop by and check us out.

Anywho, it was a decent way of spending an afternoon. It was cold and chilly out, so really what else was there??

Oh, and have you guys heard about the shop they are opening in Woodfield this summer. It's basically going to be a Disney DVC store. You can go in and talk with people about buying into Disney DVC and you will be able to walk through a full mock-up of an AKL DVC resort room. Pretty cool eh? I might just let them try to talk me into it.

So, that's about it for now. I just needed a little peace and quiet after such a traumatic day!

i love the dinner at ohana's. i like it so much i do it when i go on solo trips to the motherland.

it is good.......but i always ask for the meat skewers to be/steak/med rare and it is.
i also ask for the pineapple and caramel sauce instead of the bread pudding and get it.




now i am off to check out the universe.........

Hi all-
Well, I definately wasn't feeling well during the night last night . I ate a nice dinner last night(Fri. night) baked chicken and rice. Unfortunatley I had a lot of gas and diarrhea last night. Was on the pot for about 3 hrs during the
night I had a pain in my lower abdomen. I could tell it was something viral, from trying to recover from the stomach virus. I don't have a gallbladder, since I had my gallbladder removed a few yrs back, so can't digest well at times. Sorry TMI. I slept in this morning and just relaxed this afternoon watching the Travel Channel in my PJ's, needed the pain to subside and just had clear liquids today( Sprite, jello, tea). Hey, maybe I lost some weight lately? That would be good
I do feel better tonight. Just need to watch what I eat.

Yes, I'm sick of this winter weather,too! Was watching the Travel Channel today, doing TopTen beaches. It was sooo nice to see the beautiful oceans and beach areas- places I'll never get to go to. But I wanted to watch something warm

Oh that's over with, thank God I think she left last Sunday sometime and I haven't seen her since. I never saw her before until last weekend I feel bad I was a little nasty to her, but I was not in the mood to hear this woman's complaints when I had alot going on. Like I said before, our upstairs neighbor directly over us has soooooo many friends come in and out of her place, staying overnight, walking her dog, cleaning her place, etc. A guy moved in about 3 months ago with her. I don't even know his name or anything. It's like a commune upstairs, really Same neighbor had another boyfriend live with her for about 2 yrs. They broke up maybe a yr ago? I don't spy on my neighbor, but for protection purposes, I watch who comes in and out the main foyer door, making sure it's not an axe murderer. I never had a problem with my neighbor's "friends" before, just this woman last Sunday. I find this commune living arrangement thing bizarre, but that's her life Thanks for asking, Mac


I also read tonight on the Disney news about the new DVC store will be opening at Woodfield. I only live about 5 min away from Woodfield

HI all! One last stop and then I'm off to watch a DVD from the confines of my comfy bed! We're watching 'Harold and Kumar go to White Castle'!!


Hersey Our new fav place at WDW is Crystal Palace! We've done lunch and dinner there and both were super yum-o!
And O'Hanas for breakfast is great too! And the character interaction is super too!
Also loved the food at the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemp.


Debbie I hope your DH gets dismissed from serving on any trial. And when my DH had jury duty his job did not pay him for being off either....that's life being in the trades!!
I spend way too much at Gymboree every time I go there too!!
I hadn't heard about a DVC store opening in Woodfield. Thanks for mentioning it here! And we have been there before as a group, we'll obviously have to go again!!!!

Thanks everyone for the food help last night. I was looking at Croc's yesterday. Alex reminded me that it's only Febuary and our trip is in October, I had to let him know it's 210 almost time to make ressie's, He did look at me like I lost my mind. He is almost as crazy about disney as I am.

Looks like there a peak of sun out this morning. Maybe today will be warmer.

Not to much is going on here today
Katie's cold has gone from bad to worse - so we'll be in all day today.

We watched The Departed last night, and I give it a big thumbs downs. It was so s...l...o...w!!!!!! I was hoping I would like it like Goodfellas and Casino, but no way For those with children - if you watch it, make sure your children are far far away - alot of vulgar language. This I expected so I made Stephanie watch her movie upstairs in her room with her portable DVD player. I didn't want her anywhere near the TV.



Jedi - If I don't see you................................

We can hardly wait to hear all about it when you get home. Most important.....be safe, have fun, and eat lots of good food!!!!

Bunchkin - I hope you are able to get to the mall today. I was just telling Kevin that we need to get to our mall sometime to see the Easter Bunny - it's so hard to believe Easter is almost here. I feel like we just put our Christmas tree away.

Debbie - My vote is for you being right about the dining plan. But something could have changed that I don't know about.

macraven - I'm sorry that I can't agree with you about The Departed . But, there are more people that would agree with you than me, since it won best movie.

HERSEY - I'm glad you had a nice time at the mall yesterday. I've never ate at a Famous Daves - there's none around here

geffric - The funny spices is the one thing that has kept us from going to Boma's - but we do want to try it sometime. Maybe next trip in 2008

Kevin is going to attempt to make breakfast again this Sunday.
He was going to last Sunday, but he ended up having so many calls, that I ended up making me and the kids some Eggos instead

Does any Lost fans get emails from ABC? There is a clip on the ABC web site for the next episode and it is soooo funny!! I can't wait to see the show!!

And yes we are going to the mall this morning, I'm just waiting for Lauren to get done with her shower and et al!! She is already at that age where it takes her forever!! I cannot imagine what she will be like when she is older and wearing makeup!!!

Not sure if we are going to see the Easter Bunny though....I guess I'll leave that up to the kids.

Did I tell you all that Hunter talked Tony into going to his favorite vacation spot??? Not hard to do, but I figured we were all 'booked up' with vacations for the year!!! Ahhh the power of a 4 yr old!!

I think I'm all ready to go. Just the last minute stuff I can't pack because I still need in the morning. But I'm pretty much all set. I still have the sniffles, though :-( I just hope I don't feel miserable on the plane.

Bunchkin - did you like that movie, Harold and Kumar? I LOVE it! I love that type of raunchy humor. The actor who played Kumar is actually going to be in a totally different type of movie that's coming out soon, The Namesake. I just checked out the book, so I can read it before I go see the movie.

I'm stuck at work today and I considered calling someone to work for me, but I really like having the extra money, since I get time and a half. It's only 4 hours anyway.

Happy Sunny Day all!!! Took the Ballerinas to practice today. 5 girls in a minivan. SO not a trip I'd ever want to do for a long time. They can TALK!!!!
If we're still giving ADR suggestions, I second BOMA. We all really enjoyed the food there. The rice was wonderful. Soups were great, too. I liked trying new things, but still having the old stand-bys. Especially for the kids.
CP for breakfast is great just for getting in the MK when noone else is around. The park is so awesome first thing in the morning. Food is just typical breakfast buffet fare, but the characters are fun.
Earls at DTD is great for sandwiches.
For cs food at AK, Pizzafari has great salads as well as pizza for the kids.
Anyway, those were my thoughts.
Hope you are all having a great weekend. Work tomorrow. DRAT!!! I'll check in later.

Checking in..

I have been busy today, went to Meirers, walmart, jewel, Kohls. The came home and started making some food for the week. Made Chicken soup, bread, chicken parma only diffeent this time ; it is chicken with raccotta cheese and pasto and sauce on it with mozellera cheese; and veggie lasgana. We have a super busy week this week and I need to be prepared. Eric has district wrestling tournments both Tuesday and Wednesday, Monday is scouts, Geoff has an OA thing at council in Mt Prospect on Wedneday night too . Thursday is a scout thing and then on Saturday Eric has a retake of his high school enternance exams and Geoff has a social studie club outing to a museum.

I am just a cookin, cleanin, driving machine these days..

I need to finish laundry.. be back later..

Hey everyone! Roseprincess sorry to hear your feeling bad. Hope things are better today.

Slo sorry to hear Katie has a bad cold. That stinks!! She's better today, I hope. Its pretty awful when the little ones are sick!

Bunchkin, Megan did okay with Chuck E this time because he mainly stayed in the birthday area and didn't come out to the playroom. I did tell her it was just one of the workers there in a "rat suit". I can't bring myself to tell her though that Mickey and Minnie and all the gang are just CM's in suits. She said she wants to believe in the magic and she wants to believe the characters at WDW are real. Which leads to believe she knows better, but wants t believe in the magic. That's fine with me. I told her the Bear at Marcus was just a guy in a suit. She said, I know!

Today was family visiting day and a quick trip to Aldi for some goodies. I swear I just love that place! $134.00 and we walked out with a nearly full basket of everything from meat to cereal. Gotta love Aldi. A little extra work, but totally worth it!!

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a visit.

Now, I have dinner in the oven and I have to make some rice and veggies to go with it and I'm done!! We got some ribs going!! Yummy!
