geffric, thanks for cheering for us.
we all appreciate it.

i can't think of anything else, been busy working out kinks with non dis things. overbilling on cc, insurance adjustments, that type of thing.

I stumbled across this thread and I am in the Chicago area, so I thought I would intoduce myself.

I am Sarah, a single(divorcing), stay at home mom to 4 wonderful but exhausting kiddos!!!! I have been to the MK & Epcot for day trips throughout my childhood. Just last yr, we went for 10 days during free dining and so loved it! Best vacation ever!!! Way too much food though but enjoyed gorging! With all the walking it evened out, so it was all good.

I am now in the process of trying to plan our next trip which is Dec 18-28 for my 30th bday. WOOHOO!!! Not so much a woohoo for turning 30 but Disney will soften the blow....LOL

I would love to meet people in my area that are disney crazy like me. I look forward to chatting with everyone, Sarah

Welcome GracieGirl, we must have been posting around the same time this morning and I missed welcoming you in my earlier post!

What part of the Chicagoland area are you from? I'm out south in the Mokena/New Lenox area!!

We are all Disney crazy here!!

Hershey, Macraven, Jedi_librarian & SamIam21

SamIam21, I am about 15 mins from Morris. If you don't know Morris, it is about 30 mins from Joliet.

:welcome: graciegirlie! This thread is a lot of fun! You'll enjoy it! ::yes::

We have someone here from Morris! Is it DisneyMama?

Hi all-

graciegirlie- Welcome to our thread! Disneymama also lives in Morris and I think she also has 4 kids, too!

Geffric- sorry to hear about your job situation, your boss switching products on you. Wish I can help in some way :worried:
Thanks for asking how I'm doing :goodvibes . I'm actually doing ok with my cold. Not a full-blown cold yet. My face hurts a little bit and a little cough, so I've been taking Advil cold and sinus pills. But not anything like I used to get, as of a full blown cold. Been also taking Airborne once a day.

How's your boys and Boys Scouts going along? That time of year to get the Pinewood Derby car started here. Not sure what kind of design Matthew wants, but Don will start working on it soon. Any hints of making our Pinewood car faster? I know to use graffite and we have used that, but not fast enough with everyone else's car in our Pack.

Hi to all

Yep I know where Morris is! Great little town that's getting bigger everyday huh! We were there in December 2005 for your Christmas Festival the day after Thanksgiving. I must say, the parade was sorely lacking... EVERYTHING!! :rotfl:

It was a nice day out anyway!

Jump Zone is in Mokena. At least there is one by me in Mokena. Get this, Megan got a gift certificate for six visits to Jump Zone. Or she can have three visits, if she brings a friend. The Open Play hours at this Jump Zone are 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and then again from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. I called the manager and asked, so she has these six visits, exactly when do you expect her to go?? She is in school for two of the sessions on Wed and Thurs. and I'm not big on Megan going out on school nights. She has homework and she needs to be settling down, not taking her to Jump Zone and getting her all fired up, although it would be pretty wearing. I ask the manager, don't you feel like maybe your hours are unfairly keeping school age kids from having any time to visit you establishment. He said the rest of the time is private parties. So, I have to book a "private party" in order for her to go at a reasonable hour, you know on a Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon?
So, dude, exactly what do I do with these 6 visits? My only choice is a Thursday evening. When these six visits are used up (whenever that is), I will never set foot in that place again!!

Fortunately, due to holiday operating hours, there will be one session she can go to tomorrow from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Sheesh, what a rip off!
SamIAm, wish I'd known you were going there. We went today. I agree about the times for the kids. It worked for me because kids are still on break. They had an awesome time. But I think you'll find that Thursdays will work fine for you. My kids, 6 and 8, were completely jumped out after 1 1/2 hours and ready to leave. I found a 2 for 1 pass online so it only cost me $8 for the kids to go today. Not bad for a different day of fun.
:welcome: to graciegirlie. Come visit us often. We are a fun group.
Rosemariepixiedust: to make your cold go away fast. Mine is just at the tail end to leaving. Couldn't be gone soon enough. Has lasted a week.
Going to be a busy week these next 10 days. DD has her big ballet recital next Fri, Sat and Sun so she has many practices and rehearsals this week. DS is going to cub scout trip tomorrow to the Chicago Storm. They are going to practice learning some skills with the team in the morning and then stay for a game in the afternoon.
DH and I need to get to IKEA this week to buy furniture for office and playroom now that the remodeling project downstairs is about done. I need somewhere to put the stuff that's been in storage for 5 years.
And wouldn't you know that after finally getting to watch a normal sized TV after 5 years, the TV decides it's going to act up. The volume is going out. DH of course says it's a sign to have to buy a new BIG SCREEN TV.:lmao: I told him to call a TV repair man first to see what it would cost to repair. Hate to burst his bubble. Don't really feel like spending $$$$ on a new TV just after Christmas.

Geffric:teleport: your boss to Siberia for making you start over again. Hope you find something else soon.

Hi Everyone!
Fly by for now...
I'm trying to be good by spending less time conversing on the computer. :surfweb: This is very hard for me. I like chatting with you guys!
I can't believe Bunchkin and Slo are gone! So cool for them.:cool2:
Sorry Gerrific for your work troubles. :scared1: Man, I would be mad if I was you!
Hi GracieGirlie!:goodvibes WELCOME!
Hi Everyone else!:thumbsup2
I am still winning the war against the germs but am afraid it won't be for long. My DH had the chills and was sweating all night. Gross! TMI
Tiggern2:happytv: I just had to drop $180.00 into our 2yr old TV so that we didn't have to buy a new one. I am dying for a big flat screen but just can't justify it yet.
See you guys soon.
Debbie

Read the siggie line ladies and gents!! The full moon is on the wane, and I'm booked! I know I said I didn't want to stay at Pop anymore, but the price was right and I'll just avoid the food court! It's still peak season (yeah peak season ends the day I check out  ). All I need is a bed, a shower, and a pool! Pop fits the bill!

This was the best I could swing for that time period. I'm again mixing it with a trip to see my parents who live near Tampa!

:cool1: SamIAM

:welcome: I know where Morris is....it's that VERY FAR school we had to play volleyball games against when I was in High School. :rotfl: I'm in Geneva (grew up in Batavia), whenever we would head there, they always planned a dinner break for on the way back from the games.

Hi Gang..
Just had to post here one more time tonight to change the number of posts I have.
Don't want it to be "the number of the beast!":scared1:
