I know this is a little late, but want to wish all military people, actively serving and the ones that did serve, Happy Veteran's Day.


Leigh- Congrats on buying your townhome!!
The pictures of it are really nice! Glad you were able to check out the not built one and the resale one and make a wise decision from checking both of the t.homes out It's difficult when realtors are in a hurry sometimes to sell a place, without checking out all your options first. Glad you took the time to do that. My mom was our realtor when Dh and I were looking for a place a few yrs back(before kids came along). We bought the condo we are in now, but it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, that all 4 of us live in now. We were hoping for a 3 bedroom at the time, but my mom was in a big hurry to sell something, to get her commission .Well, at least we are in a nice subdivision, have a clubhouse outdoor pool, and the school my kids go to is a very good school. Eventually someday we can move into a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo, when we have money I suppose.

Slo- happy Christmas shopping today for a tree and other things you are buying.

Becky and Debbie- glad you were able to get the HSM tickets. Even tho I'm guessing it was real crazy to get them.

Becky- Did you meet up with your friend that was visiting this weekend? Where did you end up meeting?

Unfortunately, we won't be going to the Mag Mile holiday lights thing. Ds has a Cub Scout activity next Sat. Hope all of you that are going, hope the weather holds up.

LEIGH...Congratulations on the townhouse! It looks nice in the pictures; I especially like the way the kitchen looks. Keep us posted on how it's all going--it's an exciting time. I loved how you said you put the little yellow house on the map! And, congrats to your skater, too! I haven't seen any of the competitive skating yet this year, I am going to have to start checking the tv guide for when they are on.

SLO...good luck with your Christmas outfit shopping today. Yes, Christopher is planning to come home for Thanksgiving. It is always nice to have all my "3 boys" (Mark, Brian *and* Christopher), together during the holidays.

And, SLO..BUNCHKIN...DEBBIE..EEYORE...and anyone else who is planning on going next weekend...if you need any particular info, you can go to the maginificent mile web site and there is a whole section devoted to all of the activities surrounding the lights festival. We like to go and look at how some of the hotels are decorated for the season, and we always try to get over to the Hancock Center to see the holiday train display. I am sure hoping it's not too cold for treking around the city. And, I saw an article about the Mary Poppins window display, so we will try to see that, as well.

Hey everyone. We hit IKEA today. Going back when we are completely ready to refurnish all our rooms. We did get DS his new bed. Now we just have to put it together. He will love it. Brought home a carpet sample and have Empire coming for an estimate this week. Hopefully, we'll be done in time to have the living room back for Christmas decorating.

Slo-how was breakfast? Did you find some nice things today in your shopping adventures? Seemed like there were some deals to be had today.
Bunchkin-how was the movie? DD wants to go see that one as well as Happy Feet.

I have a question for everyone. We have 30 days till our trip. We need to starting planning our driving route. I'm looking for advice on the fastest way to get to Disney World.

This weekend went by to fast!!!!!

We were successful in finding a new X-Mas tree yesterday. Hopefully the raccoons won't get into this one in the spring We went with colored lights instead of white lights - I sure hope I'm happy with this decision.

**We found a X-Mas dress at Macy's that matches Stephanie's dress that I bought at Kohls. The only difference is one is green and one is red - they are so festive and cute. Their X-Mas picture is going to be cute!!!

We drive every year.. We take the I 65 in Indiana way. let me know if you want some real directions..

Hello!!


New printer comes today!! And just in time, I have a ton of work to do.

I think DD is sick. She wasn't feeling well all day yesterday.

DH put up new blinds and drapes yesterday and our whole house looks so different now. It's amazing!

Kim I think you *should* lurk more during the day, and sleep more at night!

We thought the movie was cute too. There was a couple parts that made me go "huh?". Like when Jack Frost did the song and dance number towards the end.


slo I love trees with multicolored lights. I'm sure your new tree will look great!!!
Glad to hear you bought Christmas outfits for the girls. We are still on the search for those. I've been everywhere except Carson's & Macy's. I'll lokk at those this week.

Tiggerrn We have a couple wardrobe cabinets for the kids that are from IKEA. They are really wonderful for keeping the kids stuff organized, but boy they were a pain to put together!!!


4lilpoohs We have driven to WDW before. We took the Illinois route, driving down 57, to 24 (into KY and TN), and then to 75 (in GA and into FL), then to 4 right to WDW.
Some people start out by driving through IN and down 65. There's no wrong way to go.

Kids are finally up!

i received some awful news about my son that is living out of the country.
i have been trying to reach him as i want him to move back home.

family will be quite upset if the traditional meal is not gonna happen !!

i go all out on turkey day but not on Christmas day.

Leigh -- Congratulations on the townhouse.

As for my friend, she won't be here until December. We were just trying to plan something ahead of time. She's coming in for work & we were trying to coordinate. Looks like we will be going to a place by Oak Brook Mall. We got together one other time when she visited. It was a quick fun visit. I'm a community leader on another site & she co-CL's with me.

You guys are going to laugh, I just went and bought more tickets for High School Musical...I hope it works out. It was 3 tickets in the same section that I already have 2 tickets in. I was just having a hard time with the concept of DD & 2 of her friends being on one side of the arena, then the other girl & mom stuck way on the other side. At least now we will all be in the same section. I don't know how close the seats will be to ours (seat numbers weren't revealed) but it was row C & the ones I have are row H. I'm hoping if the numbers are close enough that we can see each other then we can have the girls sit together, while the other mom & I can keep watch from our seats. Yes, I'm crazy. That does leave me with 3 extra seats but I haven't decided what I'm doing with those yet. I'm going to wait until I have the extra tickets in hand before doing anything. We might just invite the other girl we wanted to just that her mom would have to come then (of course, then we have the split up situation again! ).

Off to get the little one down for nap & then lunch for me.
