I'm soooo sad right now!!

DH and I were watching a National Geopgrapic special about 9-11!!!

I had to turn it off, it's still on for another hour.




The deck guy came and went. We are looking for either a big deck or big patio!! I think we are gong with the patio, since I also need a retaining wall for the ski slope I call a backyard!!
The deck guy quoted us on a 600 sq ft deck (pretty big!! like we want) and it was $11,000!! Not including a few other things I wanted done!
So I'm going with the patio! It's cheaper!! And same size!

Dh has decided to not watch a movie, just sit and chat! : he wants to talk Disney! My fave topic! hahaa!! he's reading a guide book.

Well, I was going to bring DD with to see Wicked. But that girl is so finicky lately!!! 1st she talked about wanting to see it when it was first here and now .....forget it!!
So I think DH is coming and the kids are going to grandma's house!!

Been there, done that! Have you ever had someone catch you singing a kids show song? Now THAT's embarrassing! You can find a Wiggles song for just about any occasion, ya know. Oh yeah...just ask me. I've been caught.

actually i just aim to make people laugh, but either one works! hahah!!!

As long as it worked to keep the rain away at least until the grade school kids are in school, then I'm a happy camper. DD's on her own. She takes the bus (THAT will be a nightmare in & of itself, rain or no rain)...I fully expect a phone call that she misses the one on the way home. I'm fully convinced no one at the school knows what they are doing for the busses (with the new Middle School built we have been told about 6 different versions of how the busses will run -- I just decided to look earlier today at the bus schedule & it had changed AGAIN from last week!). Getting there should be fine, figuring out how to get back on the bus is going to be INSANITY.

I already had the 9 year old whining when he heard me say "walk to school" -- Ahh...and so it begins.

Oh get this...was it this thread that we talked about the freaky mannequins that look at you that DD *hates*. Poor girl, her first class is Science. We had meet the teacher night on Monday, we walk in the classroom and in about 2 seconds DD is pulling on my arm, head down saying we can leave now. It was right after she saw the skeleton. I did try to convince her the skeleton wasn't looking at her because it has no eyes! Only eye sockets. She didn't buy my answer.

Poor thing is going to have to wake up to that every morning having it "stare" at her. I thought it was kind of comical (I know I'm a mean mom) but since she wants to be a vet or zookeeper, it just strikes me as funny that the skeleton freaked her out. At least she gets it out of the way first thing.

haha Bucny i know, he will fight tomorrow like crazy! 10$ he calls in or he wakes up with energy to burn!! at least that's how i am when i get under 4 hours of sleep! wierd i know!!

ohh i've been caught singing!!! DD, DS and i were in Nordstroms in the fitting room and DD did the SWIPER no swiping thing, so i had to say it! THEN she wanted me to sing the DORA song..so we sang! then came a knock on the door and a lady said "been there before!"

how crazy!! i thought the place was empty!! haha!!

How old is she?

She's almost 9, with an attitude of a 14-15 yr old.
She was in a lot of trouble earlier for smart mouthing her father!!
The other half of the time she is in tears crying like a baby when she doesn't get her way!!

It's like she's gone Cybil on me!!!!!

I don't remember being this emotion or hard to deal with as a kid!! What has happened to these kids????
