sorry about the Headshakers during your trip Nightowl! I'm with Michelle on that I would have ditched them. But at least they didn't spoil te magic for you and you get to go back in a month! Yippee!

OK Talked to the folks at the Box Office about Wicked. Looks like after all the taxes tickets are 37$ each. No group discount on the weekend she says. I find this odd because didn't Scrappinmom go on the weekend? Oh well, if thats what they want to charge, so be it. I won't know if they have the availability for a little bit yet because they don't do anything live in group sales. They send the info on to the ticketing dept and let them know if the seats are available. Go figure. So I will let you know as soon as I do!

Michelle I think the DISmeets board is a good idea, I just want to be sure that the people on this board have their chance before I open it up.

That reminds me, Slo have you checked to see if you could go?

Niteowl, you have the patience of a saint, but it was so nice of you to keep your cool for Moe's sake. Thanks for the great pictures by the way. I can't see how anyone could be "Grumpy" in WDW? My DH certainly was and I still don't understand. I think he would have rather gone to the dentist... for a root canal!!

SamIAm I had heard of a Walmart coming to New Lenox years ago. They were looking at the property were the Mobile with the huge sign is on Rt 30. And heard that it had the kabosh put on their plans.
Maybe this is a new deal?
Same thing happened when Walmart wanted the property behind the Jewel on 159th & Farrell in Lockport. Don't think that's ever going through either.

hi all! looks like this thread is seeing some actuin suddenly! DH is installing car seats into the Honda today! we bought two more so that we don't have to keep switching them out!! we got a Gift certificate from Babies R Us and hit them up! It's amazing how many pregnant woman are there!! whenever i see one, i want to have another baby...but then i see my little ones and i realize i have neough

Hi! Just popping in to say hi. have to get to the store to buy Allison some blue jeans for school. She had a growing spurt over the summer and needs some. I have been putting it off and really need to get out there.

Walmart has the best prices and even though I hate that store I guess I will be going there.

This could be a sign then... That Mobil station is now closed along with the little mini-mart next to it. And I think my sister in law said she saw them tearing down the big old sign too. I'll have to go by there tonight and see. I just want to see the Wal*Mart Supercenter (with grocery store) come to town and back-slap Jewel Foods right in the head. Jewel is so over-priced that they are beyond the ridiculous. If Wal*Mart comes to town with a grocery store, Jewel is going to be in the fight of their life in New Lenox.

I'm so used to Aldi that I can't even go into Jewel without getting angry.

SamIam, that's gotta be just by you guys. B/c we have a super walmart here and their produce is leaving EVERYTHING to be desired and their prices are just about average. I WISH we had a Jewel out here, every time i go to the one by my parents house i wish i would have brought a cooler, so that i can stock up there.

I also can't stand how quick it took our BRAND spanking new super wal*mart to get over run by a not so great type of people and just turn awfully dirty we have sucked it up and paid a lot more to shop at Woodmans. It's cleaner and the produce is great!


HOWEVER in the summer i'm guilty of driving up and down rte 20 out here all the way to Hampshire and visiting all the farm stands! it doesn't get any better or any better priced than that!!

I went in for my EKG. It took no time at all, in and out. They will fax it to my Dr. at U of C and then I'll get a call from them on the findings.
Hopefully they will call tomorrow.

I also got Lauren's haircut before school starts on Wed. She looks so cute!
She looks like Kit the Amer. Girl doll, but with Autumn colored hair.

We need to get all her things together in her backpack tonight. I don't now how she's going to manage it all. We may have to bring things in on Thurs. too. So much stuff for a 3rd grader to haul around!!

I got our Magical Express info. packet in the mail today!!!
We were already excited this morning about how close vacation is, but this just pushed us over the edge!!!



SamIAm The Jewel can be pricey, but Dominicks is worse. I only go there for meat and if there is a really good sale on something I need. We go to Aldi in Homer Glen once in a while. And I think Michelle is right about Walmart's produce! I never buy produce OR meat from there.
But a closer Walmart would be really nice!!

Michelle We used to have lots of farm stands around here, but they are all disappearing as the new houses are built! Now there are only a few left.

Nicole- a GAC card means (Guest Assistance Card)It is a pass for anyone that has had surgery recently, is temporarily or permanently disabled, adult and children with disabilites, etc. Anyone that has had foot, knee, hip surgery that uses crutches, wheelchair, scooter, trouble walking,etc. the GAC card is used to shorten the length time of waiting in lines, due to the the person's need. It is talked about on the disABILITIESboard quite a bit. We used a GAC pass for Chrissy's MAW trip 2 yrs ago. tho ,we automatrically
got hte GAC from MAW and Guest Services.
I hope this helps in explanation of hte GAC

Tiggerrn2- hope all went well at hte zoo today. did you go to Brookfield or Lincoln Park zoo? Oh, I almost forgot. I saw a Kohl's advertizement about a week or so ago, Tinkerbell backpacks were on sale for 10%to 15% off. I have no idea if they are sold out now, depends on hte Kohl's by you. I didn't need another backpack for dd,as she has Maya from Maya and Miguel show that I bought her a few months ago at Target.
I did buy ds a Cars lunchbox at Meijer about 3 weeks back. It actually was less expensive than what TDS was selling theirs!

Bonnie is my friend and not the mother of the 11 year old. The 2 people in the pic at Illuminations are her parents. Bonnie knew the mother since the mother was 9 months old and used to babysit her. Moe calls her Aunt Bonnie. I watched Moe for over 4 years starting when she was 9 months old. It's not like we are casual friends, Stacey and Moe spend lots of time together at each others houses.

Good evening everyone. We were at Brookfield Zoo today. Beautiful day. The zoo was as crowded as I've ever seen it. Seems everyone was trying to take advantage of the nice day and last week before school starts in some towns. It was so much less crowded when we were there in June. Went to the Butterfly exhibit. Kids loved that as well as the dolphin show. That show keeps getting shorter and shorter IMHO. I'll check back later. Just wanted to say hi and read up.

DMM so glad to hear you had such a wonderful time with your family. Must be hard to live far from your mom. I know it would be for me. My mom is always there whenever I call. I so love her for that. I sure hope she always knows how grateful I am. I try to tell her often.
