I'm not sure I'm wording this correctly but it's not meant to be rude, mean, or insensitive. I'm just pointing out one of many good deeds done in the Orlando area. Just thought I'd point out that this restaurant handed out free food to those waiting in line to give blood. I think this is a very nice gesture from a Christian organization considering the views that many injured and killed take. No, I'm not stirring the pot but remembering the bashing they took not so long ago for their stance on certain issues and the threats of boycotting, etc.. Its nice to see two different views can get along and help out when needed.

Christians are supposed to minister to the poor and wretched in their times of need.

Chic-Fil-a is holding to core values. Normally closed on a Sunday, they opened on this particular Sunday in order to do the Lord's work.

And in this case, it's to the benefit of everyone, and I don't begrudge them the kudos they deserve. But unless they step up and recant their previous statements, and admit they were wrong... my opinion of their leadership won't change.

they didn't publicize it The deed only came to light because people posted on Facebook how generous it was. Just because a company has different views doesn't mean they have ulterior motives. it might just be they wanted to do something and they did .

Yes they did. If they had their food made and hand delivered with no Chic Fil A clothes on that would be not advertising. Opening their doors in Orlando only is a great way to try and make piece with a large community who doesn't go to their location

What was their previous wrong statement?

Its always okay to criticize christians, but criticize something else and you get turned in or get chewed out.

Yes, when a group openly opposes you and your beliefs because of how you are born you are supposed to accept that criticism. Take out gay put in black (also something you have zero control over) and you are a hate mongering group

OP I'm glad you know the views of the killed and injured.

It is great that Chick-Fil-A is helping but honestly the way your post is written OP it makes those killed and injured look like bad people. You simply could have said how awesome is it that people came in on their day off to help their city? Why did you have to make political/religous statements about the dead and injured?

I'm glad to hear that. If they had, that would be a PR and marketing event, not a charitable gesture.
That's very big of them, considering those awful gays had the nerve to point out they're bigoted policies.
:confused3 Sounds like you're in the camp that sees this as a tactic, not an act of charity. Whatever. I guess a principled stance would be for anybody who opposes this company to not eat the free chicken. That'll teach 'em. Personally, I hope that anybody who received the meal enjoyed and took some small comfort from it, whoever they may be.

You really thought this subject would be drama free after what has happened over the last few days? Really??
Yeah, I thought it had a chance. I don't mind talking and disagreeing, I think that is actually better than everyone always agreeing. It's good to see others' points of views. I just hope it doesn't get out of control.
