Chi flat iron

As someone mentioned, QVC has a Chi as todays special value. It's 4 payments of $26. There are 5 colors to choose from. I'm debating getting the black/white leopard for my daughter.

ETA- I went ahead and ordered.

I also just ordered on QVC in green. DD wants something that will curl and volumize as well as straighten. Hope it works as well as it seems to on TV.

I ended up ordering green too. It's my daughters favorite color. What I like about QVC is they have the extended return policy for items ordered now through Christmas. So we can return it if it isn't that great ( I think it's until the end of Jan).

Ulta always has deals on the Chi. I got mine for I think it was $79 on sale and used a coupon and it came with a free travel sized chi. I did see someone before me returning one and asked the cashier if they get a lot of returns on them. She said as long as you buy the red or black they seem to be made better. The colored ones are the ones she said get returned most.

I just read something about Ulta selling bad Chi's. I wonder if the bad ones are the colored ones and the black and red ones are quality? Our Ulta does have a salon and they are sold in that section. I have had mine for about a year now and have had no problems with it at all. It works great.

Folica is a great website for hair styling tools. I just bought a $150 flat iron for $60 (the Solia one). Many years ago, that's where I bought my Chi from.

well I prefer the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it works amazing, it has tourmaline ceramic plates which cause less damage to the hair, it leaves my hair soft, shiny, frizz less and super straight. Plus you can style your hair the way you like (flip, straight, curl or wave). Hope this helps :D :)
:cool1:

I ordered it on QVC as the Today's Special Value as well! It looks great, but the reviews are really bad!!! I hope I like it. Reading those reviews made me nervous.

The good thing from ordering from QVC is that we have until Jan 31st to return it if not satisfied :thumbsup2

I love my CHI! I bought mine almost 4 years ago from drugstore.com. I think I paid @ $79 for it. The one I bought it the black 1" that is priced now at $99.99 at drugstore.com.

I have not had any problems with it. As I mentioned, it's almost 4 years old and still going strong. I have very curly hair, and people that meet me for the first time can't believe my hair is naturally curly. I will be very sad the day it stops working!

If you want good results, you should get a professional one. I use, the Karmin Professional Titanium Flat Iron, with ceramic heat, ionic technology and titanium plates, won't damage hair like others, leaves hair super straight, silky and shiny, plus I have no problem with frizz. I bought mine at myhairstylingtools. Hope it helped. :cool2:

I love my Solia. My Chi burned my hair horribly, even with different heat protectants. I found raves about Solia and never looked back!

I don't know if you have the Christmas Tree Shops in your area but they have a 1 inch Chi in their BF ad for $39.99 plus a 20% off total purchase coupon.

i bougt my first chi at ulta also, about 6 years ago (and i have used it EVERY day - still going strong). i just recently bought another there - $99 less 20% cooupon. ask the salesppl, they should tell you the differences in chis: the not-as-pretty black and gold one does last forever (my old one is proof of that!), but the newer, pretty ones are more likely to break if dropped, which happens to my old one daily, btw.
that said, i still got a pretty teal and silvery one as a back-up :)

eta: i just saw the christmas tree shop post. i checked the boxes of "chi" hair dryers, etc in our local CTS, and none were made by farouk. unfortunately, they aren't the real thing - sorry

the fake chis simply won't perform or treat your hair as well (real chis are made by farouk; fake ones will have a different manu on the box).

I bought my wife one of those souped up Chi Irons on QVC a couple nights ago. Hope it works well! Thanks for posting your reviews :worship:
