I'm hoping to make my first trip to DLP this december (not sure how mad it will be begining of december!) I'm looking at booking cheyenne.

We will probably be 2 adults and my 2 daughters, one who is 3, so can sleep in the bottom bunk, and the other will be only 19months, so will get a cot for her. I was thinking of giving my mum the double bed, and i'd sleep on the top bunk (or was thinking if we could persuade my dad to come over, my parents could get the bed, and I again would take the top bunk)

However, I just read somewhere that the bunk beds aren't suitable for more then 11stone (which sadly i'm not - although I'll try a miracle diet before I go).

What i'm wondering, i'm I been too optomistic to think we could have 3 adults in this room? Would they allow 3 adults, if none of the adults were less then 11stone so theoretically couldn't sleep in the bunk bed (and would they get a weighing scales out!)

Any advice appreciated.

Just looked online and its giving a quote for 3 adults, 1 child and a infant so yes they do allow it. They will only allow a maximum of 4 people regardless of age per room PLUS one infant in a cot

Yeah, but on hotel info, it says the bunk beds are not suitable for persons over 11 stone ... so this is where i'm wondering what happens to the 3rd adult? I'd hate to sleep on the top bunk, and god forbid it broke on top of my dd1!

I suppose I could email the hotel, but I was just wondering if anyone else had done this - or maybe they can give you a seperate camp bed?

If you're at all worried about the weight requirement for the top bunk at the Cheyenne, would a room with 2 double beds instead of one double and a set of bunks suit better? The Cheyenne is the only onsite hotel which has the bunks in the rooms as standard, all the others are 2 double beds as standard, so you could choose another hotel if the 2 doubles would be a better idea.

with a 19-month old you'll get a cot, there won't be room in the Cheyenne hotel rooms for a cot and a camp bed.

Thanks dlpdaft (for info and the welcome!)

I had focused on the cheyenne for both price and that everyone that has been to it cannot recommend it highly enough.

I think I might need to look elsewhere, or go on a major diet

I fancied the Cheyenne but settled on Santa Fe as Id heard a lot of the rooms are being refurbed and the reviews are getting better, plus its not somewhere we will be spending our day and Id rather have the money for spends... You could always email the hotel or phone them and ask if any of the rooms had 2 double beds as I heard the Santa Fe has the odd bunk bed!

All the rooms in Cheyenne have bunk beds.

We stayed in Cheyenne with our adult son - so 3 adults and 1 child. he slept on the top bunk (and did in DCR and NPB) with no problems. Hes not a large adult but Im sure hes more than 11 stone
