chevy traverse, any one have one?

there is an awesome facebook page for it. All owners or wannabees with answers to all questions.

We're seriously considering one, since we need seating for eight. I'll miss my Town and Country minivan, though.

do you like it?

I'm following along-I've been wanting one of these for several months--it will most likely be 1-2 years before we actually get one so there's plenty of time to do research. A co-worker of mine has the GMC version, the Acadia and she adores it.

We have the Acadia. Its just like the Traverse only GMC. I didn't like it at first, but I'm used to it now. I just loved my minivan, and didn't really want to get rid of it so I was grumpy about it.

I like that I can fit 8 people, but I think it has a little less cargo space than my minivan had. I do like the way the seats fold down. I don't really have any complaints about it. We were able to get the Acadia for the same price as a Traverse at the time because of rebates and incentives.

Also my husband works for a GM supplier so please buy a new one! Traverse or Acadia or the Enclave. They're all good! ;)

We've got one (had it for a year exactly) and we :lovestruc it. We've got the seating for 7 (two capts chairs) and it's wonderful for traveling.

Thanks for the heads up on the FB group...I didn't know that. :)

I'm considering one. I was considering the 2010 Highlander but that is out! I'm worried about GM's stability as a company in general but I did own a Chevy once that I loved (and it is still running with 300K+ miles on it.)

It is between the Traverse and the Honda Pilot right now.

The Traverse got better Consumer Reports reviews than the Pilot.

I need seating for 7 so I think I would get the captain's chairs instead of the middle bench.

I really liked the Toyota Sienna (and it is still available) but I'm not sure my ego will let me own a mini-van yet.

What I love about the Traverse (or any crossover, really) is that it is NOT a mini-van. ;)

It's sporty and fun to drive and it doesn't scream "I'm a mom I'm a mom" (like a minivan does). :rotfl:

We just got one on Dec 31 and we absolutely love it. We traded in our old chevy Tahoe. It only seated 5 and the Traverse seats 8. We got the traveler's package with the dvd player. It is the first time we have had a dvd player in a vehicle and the kids are loving it. It drives great and is easier to park than the Tahoe.

Our friends just got one about a month ago and they LOOOOVE it!

In reality, these type vehicles are nothing more than minivans with swing out doors instead of sliding doors...it's all about the image.

Yes I know that, but I don't care. ;)

What's important to me is it looks nothing like a Mom vehicle (aka a minivan). :goodvibes

I have the Buick Enclave which is the 'sister' vehicle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!
Best car I have ever owned!:thumbsup2

We bought a Saturn Outlook, which is the same as the traverse and we love it. It does have a little less cargo space than our mini-van did, but it has more cargo space than the Honda Pilot. Though Saturns aren't being made anymore, GM will still service the vehicle and guarantee the warranty.

That's the beauty of it. I want one with the captain's chairs in the center row. I saw it first at Test Track and fell in love. I can't wait to get one!

My friend from work has one and loves it. Another friend has had the Enclave for a couple of years and loves hers.

I have the GMC Acadia. I have had it for 2 years and love it! We drove to Disney twice in it.

Other than oil changes and routine maintenance, it has not been in the shop.

There is a little less storage space in the back, but the seats fold down and up very easil y which was very important because I am not that tall and don't want to have to climb into the car to pull the seats back up!
