Eugh, my chest hurts. I'm on a batch of medications, some for the ol' ticker, but every so often they don't quite cover all the bases and I get palpitations/pains/spells of giddiness. Sux. Sorry for the downer. Had to get it off my chest (boom boom).

Hope everything is alright, maybe a check in with your doctor is in order?

Any chest pain should be assessed immediately by medical professionals -- in person, not on the DIS. Just so you know, the normal level of pain for adults is 0. Anything more than 0 should be looked at, especially chest pain.

Lightheadedness is caused by oxygen deprivation to the brain -- frequently caused by cardiac problems. So it's a sign that something is wrong, and it can also be a very serious problem on its own. If it causes you to fall, that could be tragic.

Neither are something to play with, joke about, or go to the DIS with. You need to contact medical resources NOW.

Pls give a call to ur dr m, at the very least OP. Hope u feel better and it’s Nothing serious!

It's ok guys. Thanks for the kind words :) It used to be far worse, I am now medicated for these symptoms and then some! It's just that occasionally I suffer from breakthrough symptoms. They're not really all that terrible :)

Hope all is well! I have palpitations now from my Covid. They scare the heck out of me sometimes.

What does your doctor say about the palpitations?

I went to a cardiologist, and I had to go for all sorts of tests and she said that nothing was wrong with my heart. She told me that the palpitations will likely resolve in time, but it could be a long time. In the meantime, I will keep seeing her for regular tests every year or so. She also said that the palpitations could be more noticeable to me because you also get them with menopause. The only advice she gave me when they come on is to change body positions; to roll over if I'm in bed or whatever. Surprisingly, this seems to work.

Right. I don't know if they occur more often in certain positions, or if they are just more noticeable in certain positions.

Glad to hear you are on top of it.

Please go to the doctor. If the EKG comes back ok ask for an X-ray to make sure it’s not bones or anything muscular or something like a hiatal hernia.

Please have it checked out, it can be caused by medications and stress sometimes can be a factor.
