Jordan: He smiled back at her. He turned to glance at the fallen tree and winced feeling the pain in his back and shoulders for the first time since he moved the tree.

Jordan: He looked down at her wincing again. He pushed trough tremendous muscle pain to reach behind his back and up to his shoulder. He could feel deep scrapes where the tree had dug into him. "I think I lifted it" he said surprising himself.

Marina: her eyes widened slightly and she turned a bit to see the scrapes. "Jordan, you did that just to save me? You didn't have to do that." She forced herself up, wincing through the pain of her crushed torso and kissed his cheek.

Jordan: After Marina fell unconscious he looked up into the sky and let out a shaky breath. He wished he had never fallen asleep. Then Marina wouldn't have gotten hurt. In some ways he wished that Marina hadn't saved him. "I love you" he whispered looking down at her.
