Chelsea...

Picked her wheelchair today
We was referred by her GP for one, as she is finding walking long distances hard, and refuses to walk, etc..so we went today to get her measured and weighed etc.
She has picked a metallic red one with a patterned seat and its self propelled so she can use it herself if she wanted to , but obviously I will be keeping hold of the handles she may be lethal...
She seemed to take it all in her stride although when we first went in she was a little daunted she kept holding and clinging onto me, and seemed a little teary but I am sure this will help her in the long run.
They said it will take 2/3weeks to come through so it may not be here for our holiday but she is going to make it urgent... so fingers crossed, she is really pleased, its amazing what designs they have for the children, and how they pick there own,she was so pleased with herself

Ahh well, not long off till we go, she can't wait to get there and tell mickey all about her poorly hip

Glad to see that you have your wheelchair.. Our daughter suffers from a condition called severs disease. So we haven't ruled out the possibility of her going on wheels in August.
Unfortunately she has it in both feet and a similar condition in her wrist so this prevents her from using crutches.

We usually have her feet put into casts which can be cut up the back and held in place with velcrose fastenings which means we can take them off for her to swim etc.

We also have a blue badge do you know if we can use them in Florida ?

Fingers crossed it arrives for Florida to make things a little easier for Chelsea. I can just see it would need one of those Mickey Ballons tied to it

I hope it arrives before you go on your hols, it will help you out as well as make Chelsea more comfy.

We also have a blue bafge for DH it would be great if we can use that over there

Fingers crossed it will come through in time for your trip but, if it doesn't, it will be something for Chelsea to look forward to when you return (and take your mind off the post-WDW blues ).

Nope we are thinking of putting everything into storage, and storing valuables at parents houses, and then maybe styaing with our family or a hotel for a few nights before we go, then sort something out afterwards, cause at the moment we are looking at anything and everything and whats the point of taking something we dont like? it seems pointless.
Fingers crossed something may come along, if not our parents have offered to help us out.
At the moment the house is full of bin bags, and boxes, reminds me of a warehouse, but this is something we cant prevent...darn landlord, I am positive he has done this on purpose.
I cant let it run our hol regardless, of how annoyed I am

I hope her wheelchair comes if not we are buying a buggy before we go, when we get time,hopefully...

LOL as for the balloon thing, one? Chelsea will want hundreds! all over it!

Thank you everyone...now lets just get on hol eh? lol, at least we are then away from all of this!

P,s Hilary it went from Blue to Green to Every colour then as we was going then Red! poor woman, didnt know what to put kids!
