Chefs de France?

Yes for lunch; no for dinner

I think so, we really enjoyed our lunch when we were there in September, so much so that I booked another lunch for our May trip. It was also really neat to visit with Remy :goodvibes.

I booked it just for the bread!! It was the best bread on our last trip. But then my DH says I judge restaurants by their bread baskets.. and that I don't take into consideration the entire meal. As far as I am concerned my meal was good and the bread made my entire meal experience amazing!!:cheer2:

YES!!! It is ABSOLUTELY worth it! :) We LOVE it there! You will really enjoy your meal! The bread is delicious!!!!

Whether it's "worth it" means different things to different people. In terms of strict $ amounts, most people (some PPs in fact) will say it's only worth it for lunch and not dinner. However, if you're on the DDP, I'd say go for the dinner! DH and I had our first meal of our trip there this past month, and we really loved the appetizer and desserts, and we're pretty happy with the main course. Check out pics in my dining review if you want.

We loved our lunch there ! One of our favs. The pear sorbet...oh my.

We have totally enjoyed our dining experiences at Les Chefs. We've gone 3 times for lunch and once for dinner. We have had great servers. Dinner is naturally more expensive so it's a better value for your dining plan credits.

At our dinner last week I ordered the short ribs. Our waiter asked me how I would order the filet if I were to order that. He told me to order the filet instead. It was delicious.

We finally went this past October for lunch. It was very good and we got a lot of food (DD and I had the quiche with french onion soup; Mom had the ham cheese sandwich with lobster bisque).

I'd say try it if you never have. The french waiters and their accents are worth it alone, imho

Chefs was the worst meal of our trip in February. It really pretty sad for me, as the last time I was there I was ten (we're talking almost fifteen years ago, btw) and had the most memorable meal with my parents. But, obviously, things change. I really thought the ingredients weren't particularly fresh. I enjoyed the escargot, but honestly.... we also had a flatbread that was similar to the one I buy at Trader Joe's and it looked as if the mushrooms in my dinner came right out of a can. My husband's steak was mediocre at best, as well. I actually sent my meal (short ribs) back, which is something, as a former waitress, I NEVER do. I got the mac and cheese and I love real, adult cheesy mac and cheese and this was only OK. It was also unbelievably jammed and the servers were not the nicest I've ever encountered. Based on personal experience and extensive reading on the Dis, I think there are much better places to eat in EPCOT.

Thank you...Thank you...for all of your input...

We booked a dinner(yes on dining plan) for our April trip...we will see. Since we are staying at the Boardwalk, we are going to try a bunch of World Showcase restaurants...they are so close...

Now what about Raglan Road? We are also going to try that...should I cancel?? I've heard AWFUL things!!! :(

I'd say try it if you never have. The french waiters and their accents are worth it alone, imho

Our two experiences there were absolutely horrific! and it was all due to the lousy, rude waiters and manager. Food was actually okay, but the service extremely slow -- over 2 1/2 hours! The manager told me to carry my 81-year old mother piggyback in order to make the Candlelight Processional on time when I complained to him about the time it was taking and the concern that I had in making it to CP on time. Wasn't that nice of him?!!

we went once today and once last week and we absolutely loved it! so far, it's been the best meal of our trip and my boyfriend and i (we come every year during the holidays) decided that it will be a new tradition to go at least once each time.

I think Les Chefs is pretty bad. It's the one and only Disney restaurant I've been to where I would never return. The food is poor quality and you would never get served such dreck in France. It saddens me that people go in there and think that's what real French food is like.

Someone here on the boards once called it 'French Applebees', and I think that is a good way to put it.

But I'm in the minority here. And I also lived in France for a year so I admit I'm hard to please when it comes to French food.

yes for lunch (one of my fave lunches!)

no for dinner (there are better options out there)

Chefs is our favorite restaurant in all WDW. Husband lived in France for a couple years, and he loves the food at Chefs. Our servers have always been top notch and wonderfully sweet. If you're lucky you get to see Remy too.

We went this past August & it was our WORST meal of the trip! I'm glad we tried it but we will not be returning.....

I ate there on Dec. 4th. I missed seeing Remy. I was seated not long after he had already made the rounds in the section of the restaurant I was in.

The food was delicious.

But the wait staff seemed hit or miss. My server came around often enough but the table next to me had a difficult time getting their server to refill their drinks and they were still waiting for their check after I had already paid. I was seated after them.

I may eat there again someday but there are so many other places for me try that I'll be doing those first.
