Trying to finish up our dining plans for upcoming in September. Who's been to Chefs de France? Like it? Is it a good choice for a somewhat picky eater?
We'll be there during Food & Wine festival again this year. Last year we had an early lunch at Coral Reef then snacked our way around the World Showcase in the evening. Which we enjoyed. Not sure if we should plan on that again or make a TS ADR for dinner in France.
Suggestions? Thanks!

I have not eaten there yet but I hear the appetizers & desserts are fantastic and the meals are hit or miss. I am wondering if they have a children's menu?

Chefs de France is the best restaurant, overall, at Epcot, IMHO. The food and service is excellent, and very accommodating if you want something done a little differently. We were there during F&W last year, and had a great time.

I was just there in December for lunch and it was wonderful! Had the onion soup and the ham and cheese sandwich....YUM! Definitely worth it for lunch.
If Remy is still there....it makes the experience even better:)

We were there last fall. 3 adults and 2 kids, and everyone loved their meals except one. The salmon was really dry. Other than this it was a great meal, and we had excellent service.

Chefs de France is an awesome rest. I highly recommend it!!

The chox puff desert is awesome.

Just ate there last week. The food was very, very good. I did have the salmon which I would agree was drier than most people like.I do prefer my food on the drier side, so I noticed that it was how I like it, making it a little over done for some others. Everyone else at the table ordered the short ribs, which I had the chance to taste. Delish! I would recommend them for sure. The French Onion soup was terrific as well.. The service was outstanding.

I ate at Chefs on my trip in September. Unlike the others that have posted here, my experience was just so-so. The food was OK. The service was OK. If you haven't eaten here, then by all means go and check it out. I won't be going back on my next trip unless I just don't have any other options.

My kids (who are very picky eaters) always ask if we can go to Chef de France each trip. They love it. We have always had good service & the food is delicious..you forget you are in a "theme park". We usually go for lunch instead of dinner. Kids will like seeing Remy come by as well.

I was thinking about this place, too. What do the picky kids eat? My DD is 10, so a disney adult with a very, very, very limited amount of things she will put in her mouth.

We ate there in Dec. It was my mom, dad, DH and DD3 we ALL agreed this was the worst meal we had ever eatten at Disney. The roll that I got was so hard--now I do like hard crusty rolls, but this I could not eat. I finally ask part way during the meal how everyone else was eatting their rolls. Nobodys was has hard as mine it I pounded it on the table and it was like pounding a rock--I showed the waiter he said it must be stale. I wanted Mac and Cheese I love mac and chesse this was just not good very bland and dry the meat dishes were also dry and tough. We had been their for over about 2 hours and Remy didn't make it to our table.

If you do decide to eat here, DEFINITELY order the creme brulee! Hands down the best in DW!!! :thumbsup2

We eat there every time we go to the world. Everytime we have eaten at Le Chef's the food was great, save one time: about 3 years ago, and that had more to do with one entree and a inexperienced waiter. I like it more than Le Cellier.

I eat there every visit and I absolutely love it.

As a PP has mentioned, the Onion Soup is amazing (Ok, all of the food was great, but the soup stood out).

I love the atmosphere and with any luck you'll get to meet Remy.

What's not to like? :)

Thank you for all your opinions! I think we are going to give it a try this year! :thumbsup2

We ate our first meal of the trip (dinner) last Wednesday and it was lovely. Flatbread with goat cheese, filet, and crepes with apples and caramel -- just super, and four waiters sang Happy Birthday to me in French :upsidedow
A wednesday in Feb and no walk ins were taken, many were turned way at the podium.

I saw on Steve Soars site something about a "Remy Experience." What is that exactly? Is it Remy visiting each table like a character meal, or is this some kind of show? Just wondering....

I am so excited to read so many good things about Les Chefs de France as I just booked lunch there for our upcoming April trip :yay:
