Chefs De France

We love Chefs! Wish we were doing it this trip but when looking over menus with friends that are joining us this trip Chefs was nixed..no matter how much I tried to talk them into it :(

This is a must eat for my family on each Disney trip and we go at least twice a year. We normally eat just appetizers though.

We get the lobster bisque, onion soup, cheese plate and escargot. We've had other items but these are the ones we get each trip. Makes a great stop if you just need a snack and some rest. :)

Any reccomendations for really good deserts??:rotfl2:

The profiteroles (sp?) au chocolat were devine! I can't wait to have them in December! DBFF had creme brulee and it was great too! But she was sorry she didn't order my same dessert!

We love Chefs de France. The service can't be beat and the food is very good. I also loved the atmosphere. It definitely reminded me of my trip to Paris. This place is worth a try! :)

We ate there in early April and loved it! It was a change of mind that led us there, we cancelled Y&Y and called conceirge and they had 5:30 open at Chefs so we grabbed it. SOOOOOO good! I have a ton of pics and full review in my signature

Your reviews are great! Thanks for sharing!:cool1:

I avoided Chef's de France for the longest time, because of alot of negative reviews. Once I finally decided to try it, it quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. However, I had to eat there on my solo trips, because my family didn't want to try it. Last Sept I made an ADR there and didn't tell my husband until the morning of our dinner ADR. He was not happy and told me he did not like having to waste a credit on something he knew he wasn't going to like. I had to insist that he at least try it. I ordered the rustic assortment of pates and charcuteries while he ordered the cheese plate. He loved his cheese plate, but I had to threaten him with my fork to keep him out of my pates and charcuteries. He ordered shrimp and scallops, while I ordered the duck and again I had to threaten to chop his hand off. For dessert he ordered a chocolate/banana/coconut tart, while I ordered the profiterolles. As we left we were both laughing about how much he 'hated' French food and how he hadn't wanted to go in there. He was so full he could barely move and as soon as we booked the trip for this Sept, he told me to make sure I had an ADR for "that good French place".

In addition to what I mentioned above I have also had the following at Chef's:
escargot, onion soup, ham and cheese sandwich with salad, salmon, creme brulee, and the best dessert I've ever had was a berry clafoutis. Everything I've ever had there was great!

I second the dessert choice. The profiteroles are absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!

Would you choose lunch or dinner there? I am thinking about the ham and cheese sandwich but you can only get it for lunch but the short ribs sound delish too and my dd loves filet!! I also like the sound of the lobster bisque and the protiferoles (sp) yum!!

Chefs de France is our favorite TS restaurant in WDW. DD18 loves the escargot and thinks it is the best she's ever had. The filet is also wonderful, always cooked to perfection. We end up eating there just about every trip. Even when we haven't planned in advance, we just can't seem to resist. We've only been for dinner, though. I'd love to try lunch sometime.

I'm mixed about a lot of WDW restaurants...

While most are very good, I would not put many in the "fine dining" category...

Of all the Epcot restaurants, Bistro de Paris(i think thats the name of the one upstairs) is the best...

I originally planned to do lunch but the 2 places we are supposed to eat in Epcot are Chefs & Marrekesh as we have eaten at Le Cellier a few times already and have Italian, Chinese & Japenese at home so the French and Moroccan are different choices for us. I thought it would be better to do lunch @ Marrekesh & split something as I don't think my dd is going to particularly like most of the food there.

We love it especially for lunch.
