Chefs de France

Thank you for the response Lake Ariel.

we enjoy Chefs, but so much prefer Bistro if we aren't with the kids. The tables in Chefs are quite close together. If you get a late ADR for Bistro, and ask to be seated near the window, they will open the window and you can see and hear Illuminations. Very romantic.

So glad I saw this post. Just booked Chefs for lunch for our August trip, we to had our choice of times, "any time between 12 and 3:00":cool1:

Anyway, I was wondering if they have any outdoor seating, I thought I saw tables outside last time we were walking thru France? Or maybe what I saw
were tables for the French bakery, that is also around there??? :confused3

Anyone know?

TIA

There use to be an outdoor cafe kind of restaurant outside Chef de France called "Le Petite Bistro". It was eaten by the chef the France expansion. Could you possibly be thinking about that?

There are no outside tables except for the Bakery. However, there are tables in rooms around the front and side that have a very open feel due to the many windows.

I gotta say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! The food is wonderful. It is without a doubt a "can't miss" for me. The reason they always have ADR's close to your trip is the "but it's French food" or the still strongly rooted American distaste for France. I've been to France, beautiful but I didn't like it much (Mont Blanc area - rather unfriendly I found), my parents however loved Paris. That said the food is truely wonderful at Le Chefs... not particularly heavy as is commonly thought of French food. On one hand I would actually like to keep this to myself so I don't have to fight for ADR's but on the other hand how can I not share this great place!:flower3:

I am glad I found this thread. I had reservations for Chefs, cancelled them for the Rose and Crowne and just switched back to Chefs (I am normally not this indecisive  ) I hear mixed things about both restaurants and it will be my birthday dinner and I want it to be good! I feel better about Chefs than I did about Rose and Crowne, I am just a little bit of a picky eater.......

I think that you will be happy with your choice. IMHO, the variety and quality of the food is better than at R&C (except for the beer. ;) ).

Also, the ambiance of Chefs is far better unless you are looking more for a pub atmosphere or an outside table. These are difficult to get around IllumiNations time. :(
