Chefs de France ~ What do you order?

We've had the French Onion soup, cheese plate, escargot, and assortment of French pates and charcuteries for appetizers, For entrees we've had the salmon, ham/cheese sandwich, scallops/black tiger shrimp, and the duck. For desserts we've had creme brulee, berry clafoutis, chocolate/banana/coconut tart, and profiterolles.

Our favorites so far has been the ***'t French pates and charcuteries, duck, and berry clafoutis. Although I've read that the onion, creme, bacon flatbread is really good too. We have an ADR there for Sept 6th, so I may have to try it out:rotfl: .

Has anyone tried the wild mushroom flatbread? I keep thinking I'm going to try it, but always find something else that looks better at the last minute.

Dh and I both had the scallops and black tiger shrimp with the black pearl rice, the rice is definetely different. We both did not care for the lobster soup. Too fishy and watery. We had some kind of crepe for dessert which was very good. The chicken and duck dishes looked good too.

French Onion soup, Alsace Flatbread and the Quiche Lorraine (only available at lunch)

Alasce (sp?) flatbread was awesome.

Filet of Sole was excellent, altho I don't know if that's always on the menu.

DD ordered the complete lunch special and loved the onion soup, chicken, and creme brulee.

I also ordered the cake of the day which was a lovely yellow cake layered with fresh strawberries and cream.

I've had the French onion soup which was just OK... it almost seemed that the chef took Campbells canned soup and added some croutons...
