Has anyone eaten at both of these (or even just one)? Any strong opinions? Would you pick one over the other? I'm curious to hear what people say because it seems you don't hear very much about either of these restaurants.

Thanks!

I've eaten at Chefs twice (once lunch and once dinner) and Bistro once. I look forward to going to the Bistro again on our next trip. While its not a "must do" every trip I think I'll make ADRs there every other trip or so. I don't think I'll be returning to the Chefs any time soon. We didn't have a horrible expirience or anything, it just wasn't that great to us. I felt the food was so so and I didn't particularily like the menu choices.

I have eaten at both, I like chefs de france a little better. I enjoy the the busierest-is that a word? of chels better. Check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com

On a whim we ate there at lunch one time. We had a wonderful server who flirted (kiddingly) with 13 yro DS plus the chair performers were right in front of the windows so we got a show with our meal! I'd definitely suggest COF

I have eaten at both - lunch at Chefs and dinner at Bistro. I would pick (if pressed) Chefs de France. While it is not a standout, its a better deal with better food.

Bistro was a HUGE waste of money for uber bland food. Pretty but with no real taste. It is hospital food for rich people in Monte Carlo. I was really disapointed. Food review with pictures are on my thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1028850&page=2&pp=15

That's a great description!

Thanks, everyone, for your opinions.

Chefs de France is very good. We've never had a bad meal there, although it is a bit expensive. We save this for date night when Grandmother and Gramps babysit! :cheer2:

I really enjoyed Bistro on my last visit. The atmosphere was nice and it wasn't very crowded. My girlfriend actually thought her meal was comparable to Victoria & Albert’s. She lived in France for a year and was still very impressed with the place. It makes my top 4 with V&A's, Artist Point, and the California Grill.

Greetings from Seattle, we were at WDW just last week (it was as cold as Seattle!) and went to Bistro de Paris for Valentine's Day dinner. They had a special Valentine's day menu ( my husband ordered this) and gave each lady a long stem rose. It was excellent. We have been to Chefs on a few occasions and have never been impressed. Our experience was quite different from a previous poster, all of the dishes were delicious, plentiful and well presented. The atmosphere was very unparklike. The lighting was somewhat muted, we had a table next to the window and watched Illuminations. Our table was not crammed next to another one (ala Alfredos). We actually didn't have high expectations from reading other posts and the food we have had downstairs. Maybe our experience was the exception, but I would recommend Bistro whole heartedly.

We have eaten at both several times.

They are both great experiences, wonderful food and service..just different.

Chefs is great for couples/singles/families. Larger than bistro, a good place to try if you are not sure about french food. You can use dining plan.

Le Bistro..small, intimiate, romantic. Wonderful food...wonderful. Great place for couples who enjoy a good bottle of wine with their meal and don't mind the whole experience taking a good 2 to 3 hours at least from start to finish. They don't rush you, there is time between courses to relax. Not a place for children. No dining plan.
