Is this one of the restaurant's you have to book at exactly its 180 day mark? Like you do with Yak and Yeti? Just curious, thanks! ;)

I made a dinner reservation for Les Chefs last week for our September trip. I had asked for an after 7pm dining time, and there were plenty of spots available--and this is during free dining. I wouldn't think that you would have to get up at 7am for an ADR for Les Chefs, but if you're going to be up anyway for some of the more popular places, you may as well make an ADR. You can always change it later. Good luck!

When we were at Disney the first week in May we did no ADR's at all. Since there were only two of us we decided to be flexible.

On two of the day's we were at Epcot Chefs was one of the several restaurants that had seating availiable. One day we checked at Customer Service in the park at about 10 AM the other day it was even later. Both days had Chef's availiable for various seatings throughout the day.

I am not saying don't make ADR's, just saying don't sweat the details too much. Enjoy your stay and don't overplan. BTW we ate at Chef's on a prior trip with friends and had a great meal. It had kind of gotten a bad rap on service but ours was great. The food was some of the best at Disney and not overpriced for what we got IMHO.

Thanks for your input!! Yeah, I've done the Dining Plan thing for 2 years now and have booked places like Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, etc., but I wasn't sure if Chefs de France was EXTREMELY hard to get. I'm still gonna book it, but it looks so fancy, I was wondering if it was one of those "have a back-up just in case" places. ;) Thanks again! :thumbsup2

No, Chefs is usually easy to get into. In fact May '07 I had a lunch ADR there, decided to cancel the day before, but then changed my mind again and walked up the next day just as they were opening. I was able to get right in at my original ADr time, without an ADR. The only time it might be a problem would be if you were going during the free dining time.

Not that you asked, but in March, the food was so disappointing along with the worst service.. I do hope you fare better that we did and have a wonderful meal.
