I need to make some ADRs and was looking at either Chefs de France or Le Cellier for our Epcot meal. We have eaten at Le Cellier before and loved it. So I know we will like it, unless things have changed since last summer. What about Chefs de France? Also we will have 2 kids with us, ages 4 and 6.

Thanks,
Michele

It depends on the eating habits of the children. Would they like the French cuisine or would they like the more "american" food at Le Cellier? We ate at Chefs de France once and while it was a nice experience I would not rush to go back. I would go back to Le Cellier.

Both restaurants are good IMO. Neither are "must do's" but they are good if you can't get in anywhere else. Chefs de France obviously serves decent French food. If your kids would enjoy that, go for it! Le Cellier is also good, but the quality of the food is way off par with the prices IMO.

DIS Unplugged guys say that LeCelleir has definitely gone down hill. Not much of a value for the price. Listen to the podcast for some more background, but they still love:love: Chefs de France

I would pick Le Cellier. My DS's are 8 and 4 and had a great meal. Overall, I think the food is better than Chef's De France.:)

We did both in November and we have a 3 yr old and a 7 yr old. We hadn't done either before and everyone loved Le Cellier and did not like Chefs de France. I was so disappointed in Chefs- we won't be returning. Veeeery long wait even though we had ADR's, long wait for food, very noisy and food was not very good. Our waitress saved our experience- she was great.

Le Cellier was quite the opposite- it was fantastic all around! I have picky kids and my 7 yr old loved their steak- scoffed it down and then moved on to my filet mignon. My 3 yr old filled up on the pretzel bread and cheese soup, but also ate a little steak. They have very fun desserts, too and my kids loved that. Great food, great service, great experience.

Of these two, I would choose Le Cellier with children. I think Chefs is better for a long, lingering meal with adults and some wine. I agree with previous poster who mentioned the fun desserts at Le Cellier as appealing to the kids, and they will also probably like the good bread served before the meal.

I haven't been to either, so I'm JUST basing this on the zillion dining reviews I've read over the past few months.

I would go with Le Cellier.

Both are supposed to be absolutely beautiful inside (and pictures show this as well!). Chefs de France seems to get mixed reviews, but most who are dining with children have stated that they were disappointed. Noise level, food choices, many have stated that it's just not all that kid-friendly. Others have reported that the food is bland and nothing special.

Le Cellier, on the other hand, seems to get great reviews more often than not. I did hear about that Podcast, but I also heard several people on here argue against that review. Le Cellier has a much better selection for kids, and people have said that the steaks are out of this world. The smores desserts seem to get great reviews (and I've seen pictures-oh my goodness!!:cloud9: ). Cheddar cheese soup seems to have mixed reviews. Pretzel bread seems to get great reviews overall.

It also seems much harder to get an ADR at Le Cellier, which tells me that it must be in higher demand.

Again, this opinion is just based on reviews I've read-and I've read A TON trying to get ready for our trip!!:) Reviews seem to point towards Le Cellier.
I"ve been searching through the wonderful and helpful reviews posted on the Dining Reviews section of this board. Several people have been kind enough to post photos of the insides and of their meals. I've found these reviwes very helpful for us in making our ADR's

HTH!

our personal preference is chefs (for food & atmosphere), but i agree that LC might be the better choice for the kids.
have you considered the biergarten? the kids would prob love it, as well as the adults
