Hey All-Any reviews of Chef's de France. We went once to Chef's de France a few years ago and it was delish, but we also visit Germany every trip and wanted to try something different. Have to make ADR's in a few days...

Any reviews of Chef's de France?

I loved Chefs de France the first time we went. Not as much the next, but I think I made the wrong choices the second visit.

First time, I started with onion soup and then had braised short rib. Both dishes were very good. Second time, I had the lobster bisque and roasted chicken. The bisque didn't have much flavor, and the chicken was very dry and served with potatoes so hard I feared I'd crack a tooth--not good.

Both times I had their wonderful creme brûlée. I think it is a perfect execution of a classic dish. Other members of my family ordered ice cream puffs with a chocolate sauce so delicious, I wanted to lick the plate, but I don't think it's on the menu anymore.

It's a beautiful restaurant, and if you get a view of the fountain, it could not be nicer. Servers are sweet French college students, and the complimentary bread is divine.

Thanks-we are going to try again. We went once and I loved it-second time I had been sick the night before (from BOG) so it was hard to judge.

We are trying Chefs for the first time in 2 weeks. I'm really excited.

As a rule, we try to avoid buffets. Germany is good, but if it is between the two, I'd always pick France.

We loved Chefs de France.

However, if you want to try something new and haven't been yet...Spice Road Table is a really good addition to the WS. But Chefs is among my favorites!

Have never tried Germany, but have never had a bad meal at Chef de France. Both are loud and noisy, so not much difference there (Germany may be louder).

I've only eaten at Chef's de France once but it was a very good meal. My wife and I swapped entrees half way through and both loved each meal. I've eaten at Germany many times, it has become a tradition almost by accident. I don't think the food is as good as at Chef's but the entertainment is good and I like the option to try a lot of things.

OP, you are really comparing two different experiences. One is a standard restaurant where you sit and order a meal and have conversation with your table. The other is a communal event where you sit with others, have a show to go with your dinner, and you can try a lot of options. I'd say pick the experience you want as opposed to the restaurant.

Our meals at chefs have always been delicious! The apps are awesome, cheese board and goat cheese salad. The main course is also very good. I just love it there. :cloud9:

Between the two I would go with Chefs. But Germany has also been really good the few times I have went. But love the soup at Chefs

Another vote for Chefs, like lborne we don't do buffets. We've eaten at Chefs a number of times through the years and the food has been pretty consistent, the service has been hit and miss. Last time it was miss, our server didn't agree with my choices and was very vocal and down right rude about it. Thankfully, he was training someone and since he didn't seem to like my choices, the trainee waited on us the rest of the evening. I had the onion soup and mac and cheese by the way. His thoughts were they were both very large dishes and I wouldn't be able to finish them. Yep, I knew that and since I was paying if I only ate one bite of each, it was my choice. When I first ordered and he first mentioned they were both large, I told him I was aware but wanted them anyway, he kept insisting that I really shouldn't order that. So good food, not so good service but we were o.k. with it.

We tried Chefs de France on our last trip and absolutely loved it! The food and service were both excellent. I really like Biergarten too, but if I had to choose between the two, I would go with Chefs.
