The worst food ever I hated it. I love french food and that was not close.
I would go to mickey D's before eating there again.
to be fair the french onion soup was very good.
As a french woman, I would say the food is correct but "simply" good !
(It's not so good as the famous restaurant Bocuse or Ducase In New York !(I'm not sure about the cooker's name but I know it's an amazing and delicious food)
In Chefs de France, when we look at the menu, (to my experience, and my friend and family say I'm a good cooker) there's nothing specially refined and the most of things we can eat is almost "everyday cooking" except their delicious "creme brulée" !
We personnaly prefer to go in Coral Reef or Narcossee's and California Grill : in these restaurants, there're refined meals, amazing desserts and the service is perfect !
DH and I are "gourmet" so it's very easy to recognize good french food even when we're in a foreigh country and I Have to confess I DO adore cooking so....!
Yes, Chefs de France is paired with sister restaurant Bistro de Paris (which is just upstairs from Chefs de France). Chefs de France is, like Perrine indicated, "simply" good, while Bistro de Paris serves "refined" cuisine.
Chefs de France is in a theme park. Guests really shouldn't expect the same dining experience as you'd get in a French restaurant in France or even NYC.
The menu is "Americanized" enough so anyone can find something they'll like.
It a much easier ADR to get than Le Cellier and the food is generally better.
We ate there this past September. The food was OK. Our server was not very friendly but I can live with that. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children under 3. The kids ate off our plates but we did order them milk (this is what we had done at every TS we ate at all week long) Chefs de France was the ONLY TS restaurant where we got a separte check for the kids milk. Of course we had no problem paying the $8 for two cups of milk but it was a surprise after all the other TS comp'ed the children's milk all week long. I guess it is just different management policies but it will be a LONG time, if ever that I eat there again... The food/service was just not that great and I would prefer the more relaxed atmospheres of the character meals or other theamed restaurants. Everyone has different tastes though...
